OT - AIDS Walk 2008

I'm doing the AIDS Walk again this year, my second year in a row. Last year I raised over $700, due in no small part to the generous McCoven.

I held off on asking for donations until I knew I'd be 100% for the walk. I hurt my leg in May and had an epic struggle just to walk normally without pain until about two weeks ago. The event is a week away and I am ready to go.

So please donate to a very worthy cause. I'm unofficially part of a team named in honor of Rod Beck--Team Shooter. When you donate you're helping people in the Bay Area who really need it, and you're honoring the memory of a great Giant and an even better man.

Plastic and Paypal. There’s also an option to print out a donation form and mail a check in. They take donations up to a few weeks after the walk, too.

Thank you. I’m also doing the Project Open Hand Plate to Plate 5K in late August. I’ll be hitting you all up in a month or so again for money. The event raises money for community nutrition needs through programs for people living with HIV/AIDS, the homebound/critically ill, and seniors.
