Joe Perez has video interviews with...
the newest Defenders Pablo and Ben posted on his Norwich Bulletin blog. Really looking forward to seeing both players soon. Joe also reports that Nestor Rojas is back with Augusta and Joey Martinez is on the DL. I heard Dayton Buller is in SJ now. What other moves do you folks think will be happening? Anyone know where MarkMincozzi and Barry Gunter are these days?
Ok now I am just vamping fot the 75 word min which is just killing me. Filler, filler, filler

Thanks for the heads-up, i’ll watch them tonight. Hopefully Pablo & Ben carry over their performances from San Jose. With regards to other moves, i don’t know whether they’re planning on moving Andy D’Alessio up, especially with Ishikawa moving to Fresno, but other than him, there doesn’t seem any other position players knocking on the door.
There’s a number of pitchers knocking on the door though, Henry Sosa & Jesse English are 2 obvious candidates to move up, Kevin Pucetas is another, although his recent injury may have delayed that. I’d imagine Alderson & Tanner will probably stay the whole year in San Jose.
I’m not sure what’s happened to Mincozzi or Gunther, i know Mincozzi had an injury at the beginning of the year, but i’ve not heard anything since then, so i assume he must still recovering. Gunther did a minor league tour last year, but has only shown up briefly for Fresno this year, so i’m not sure where he is currently. Was wondering if he’d show up once short season started.

Thanks Greg
for the update and your firsthand accounts on the blog. I hope you enjoy watching Ben, Pablo, and Ryan. A San Jose Season ticket holder told me that it was the best team he had ever seen come through (though he had quite a few beer batter K’s under his belt by that time).
On top of the three SP’s GiantFan mentioned, you might also see a couple of relief promotions late in the season. I’d keep an eye out for Dan Griffin, a 6’7 righty with a strange delivery that almost seems to topple him off the mound. Other candidates could be Juan Trinidad (a sidearmer with offspeed pitches that seem to float in the air) and the possible returns of Taylor Wilding and Mike Musgrave.

so who are the losers in all the promotions
AAA transactions http://www.fresnogrizzlies.com/grizzlies/transactions/
Bocock and Whiteside were sent to extended spring training
The chulk release provided a cascading relief pitcher spot
I know AAA always plays games on a weekly basis with starting pitchers to get an extra roster spot
it just seems like there have been more promotions than roster spots opened up thru one means or another (more feeling than a logical count)
maybe I’m wondering whats to become of some lesser prospects at AA and AAA
maybe a Julio Cordido gets released
I’m less familiar with AA—any similar candidates Greg?

Poor Bocock!
Going from the show to XST?? Brutal!
Also, welcome back, Notgardo.

Read that Bocock has a blood clot in his finger and is out for a bit because of.

I was really, really bored.
..so allow me to present Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain as two sweet, sweet bottles of warming hooch.

Wow, to think you could have done this in Excel in, like, a fraction of the time.
That said, it wouldn’t have had the sharp, professional feel that it does if you’d gone that route.

You could've made it much more penis shaped
other than that, fairly accurate I’d say

Wait...
That’s not how your penis is shaped?
Well, let me tell you, then, ONE of us is abnormal.
