Doug Mientkiewicz is playing RF tonight for the Pirates. Huh?

by North Side Chicago Expatriate Giants Fan on Jun 24, 2008 5:34 PM PDT reply actions

I heard that they might get him some playing time in the OF this year. Pretty weird.

by xanthan on Jun 24, 2008 5:35 PM PDT up reply actions

Maybe he needs a break from that grueling 1b defense.

by cornball on Jun 24, 2008 5:36 PM PDT up reply actions

He actually plays mostly 3B for them now. Crazy!

You would think. Today’s HR are courtesy of Miguel Cabrera and Ryan Doumit

Cabrera’s been my main disappoinment this season, or he would be if I didn’t also have Nick Swisher, Johjima and Jhonny Peralta.

My pitching staff, though. I’m unbeaten in ERA and K’s thanks in no small part to Mr. Jonathan Sanchez.
