DH Spot
The fantasy team at ESPN.com broke down lineup changes for the remainder of interleague play. Here is what was written about the Giants:
And the extra lineup slot goes to … does anybody care? OK, we'll say Rich Aurilia or Emmanuel Burriss.
So I pose this: Do the McCoven care who is the DH?
Personally, I'm all for starting the Hebrew Hammer.

wouldn’t that diminish Omar’s value? Omar is on;y useful if he’s in the field. Burriss would be better as the DH. For defensive purposes, RallyKiller would be ideal

Maybe it’s because it’s 3:00 in the morning and I recently got home from working 12 hours, but I can’t help imagining this guy as Ray Durham with a skateboard, failing to jump the gorge..
My Dave Righetti is better than your Dave Righetti.

This.

I’ve thought about this and Durham is the one that makes sense. He’s awful with the glove and DHing could get Denker’s bat and glove into the lineup. Not that I really know if Denker has any flash with the leather, but I would be surprised if he were worse than Rayray.
Horwitz would be ok too. I imagine that Begnie will DH on at least one occasion.

I agree. I think Dh-ing BMoney for several of the games allows the big guy to rest his ever-so-slow legs a little, while still being a presence in the lineup.

I agree. And if Holm gets hurt and has to come out of the game, Benjie is still eligible to strap on the tools of ignorance and get behind the dish.

Hell, Bonds, circa any of his pro years, would help this team.

Bonds now would help this team. He did hit .276/.480(!)/.565 last year, remember? Good for a 170 OPS+?

I’m down for DHing Molina. Looks like he might get out of his slump soon.

don't you get in trouble...
like lose your DH if the DH takes the field. With only 2 catchers, I think you shouldn’t have one of the DH. Although I wouldn’t put it past the Boch-meister.
Horwitz seems like the obvious choice, unless you don’t think he can out hit Aurillia or Bowker.

Yeah but then Bochy can just manage the lineup like normal people do. None of this AL DH BS. Enough initials for you?

I serously wound’t worry about an injury. You have to proceed as normal. Besided, I would think that STEVE HOLM! would hit down in the lineup anyway, so losing a bat in the 8th or 9th hole wouldn’t be such a big deal.

I’m all for DH-ing Molina, but I’d bet cash money (not mine, of course) that it ends up being Bowker, with Richie playing 1B.

I could see Durham DHing with Denker getting some ABs.

Eyes likes the Molinia & Durham options.
Which probably damns them to failure.

hey wow
I actually like Bochy’s answer better than our ideas. Sounds like he’s going to move around the DH spot to give the veteran guys a day off their legs.
Rowand and Bengie have looked like they need a couple days off recently.

Boulder Skull has done a couple things I've been favorable inclined towards recently.
I actually like the appearance his is experimenting with the #2 hole in the line up. ( insert preferred off color commentary below). Not so pleased with the results of Druham & Castle there but he is try some different stuff in this lost season as opposed to last year’s lost season. And that gives me some faint hope.
