Open New England-Philadelphia Softball thread
I don't know what this is, but it's following the Ginats on CSN. Assuming, arguendo, that there are more than the 100 people in the stands at that game that are interested in it... isn't there something a wee bit more local that could be shown? Or maybe something that Ginats fans (like this writer) might be more interested in watching? I realize that it's 3PM on a Thursday, but sheesh.

I'm liking the lunesta tag
I don’t know why it’s there, but I like it.

LOL
Every time I see one of those fat softball players I am reminded how much better baseball is and how you actually have to be an athlete to play it.

Softball is significantly more difficult than baseball to play in more ways that one.
Unless you’re pitching, that is.
And what, there’s no such thing as fat athletes? Baseball has plenty! Our team alone has no fewer than two. Fat athlete is practically a resume point in some areas of football.
But seriously, dude, softball is a hard-ass-core sport to play. You try hitting a rock hard grapefruit that can be moving in any of six different directions in less time than you would have to react if you were playing baseball, all with a top heavy bat.
Yeah, they really suck.

There is nothing soft about a softball
Repeat. There is nothing soft about a softball. Been hit in my area a few times by errant pitches skipping off hard packed dirt and balls fouled back into me when I played catcher. Not fun.
"While conservatives tell you 'leave things alone and no one will lose,' and liberals tell you 'interfere a lot and no one will lose,' baseball says 'someone will lose.' Not only says it - but insists upon it! ... Democracy is lovely, but baseball's more mature." BVCE supports SF Dugout and Manny Burriss.

Yes
I actually have hit a fast-pitch softball pitch, and no, it isn’t fun. Especially from playing baseball to trying that thing, but it is possible, and I did it.
I wasn’t trying to offend anyone, and my words might seem offensive, but I didn’t mean that.
Sorry.

No, I’m sure I overreacted… I just have passionate feelings about softball not getting any credit when it takes an intense amount of skill to play.
