This game is over. Three run lead with our closer coming in to face the bottom of the order?

Oh come on. That might have been true with Benitez, but the Rockies can’t be so confident now.
Ohhh…. you mean for us. I get it

Ummm I hate to bring this up...
But do you remember the last game of the year in 1998. Rob Nen meet Neifi Chicken Perez. 3 run walkoff. Got to love Coors Field.
And then we got Gardner v. Trachsel. bleh

If there’s a cooler dude than Omar in all of baseball, I’d like to know who it is.

At least twice today he’s used a word apparently of his own devising: “heigth.”
IT’S HEIGHT, DUDE. ENDS WITH A T.
Krukow says that all the time.

Still – Brandon Morrow was picked 5 spots before Lincecum. Morrow is excellent, even if he isn’t Lincecum.
Greg Reynolds, on the other hand, sucks like few have sucked before

18 IP this year – 25 K (!) and 7 BB. And getting better every day.
by North Side Chicago Expatriate Giants Fan on Jun 12, 2008 3:32 PM PDT up reply actions
6 BB/9 in pro ball, 5 BB/9 in college
Lincecum, who also walks his share, is at 4 BB/9 in the pros, 6 in college.
I think that Morrow shows promise and is improving, but he’s got the patented Giants walk rate. Bumgarner thus far doesn’t—BB/9 under 2.
I agree
Reynolds = EPIC FAIL. Especially for that ballpark.
He gets no Ks. He would still suck in Petco or Safeco or AT&Tco, but at Coors? REally?

Dirty: 5 IP, 7 R, win
This is a funny, funny game.

THAT
is why you kick someone squa in the nuts if they place any importance whatsoever on a pitchers w/l record. The Cy young award is a large crock of horse manure because of that fact.
Can I dance on one leg?
"While conservatives tell you 'leave things alone and no one will lose,' and liberals tell you 'interfere a lot and no one will lose,' baseball says 'someone will lose.' Not only says it - but insists upon it! ... Democracy is lovely, but baseball's more mature." BVCE supports SF Dugout and Manny Burriss.
