San Francisco Giants at Colorado Rockies, Jun 10, 2008 6:05 PM PDT
Weren't the Giants just at Coors Field? I think I'm tired of the imbalanced schedule now.

The imbalanced schedule isn’t the problem. The “don’t play a division rival for months, then play them 8 times in 20 days” (an issue not limited to the Giants) is the problem. Also, the “play a night game on the East Coast then fly to the Mountain time zone for a game the next night” also sucks.
Also: 109.
Eagerly awaiting Crazy Crab Bobblehead Night on 7/18.
I love it when we play Colorado
I know it means very little to most, but I actually get to see live Giants’ games on the TV. We suck, so ESPN and Fox will never show us. But, I live near the FSN Mountain, and while listening to the Rox announcers is enough to make me want to hang myself, it is just fantastic to me.

And what would be so hard about Winn batting 2nd, Rowand batting third, and Castillo moving down to 7th or so?

Anyone else
Nervous about this game? I mean, not bc of Misch or Cook or anything in particular, but a loss could be a gut check? Maybe I’m buying too much into this whole contending thing. . .
For WilltheThrill, this is Jon Miller saying goodnight. . . .
Nervous? Are you kidding?
We’re just swept the Nats in DC and are guaranteed a winning road trip, even if the Rox sweep us (not likely).
We’ve got our 5th starter going tonight, on his last start before Correia comes back.
Jose Castillo is batting 2nd.
If I were any less nervous, I’d be Perry Como.
Eagerly awaiting Crazy Crab Bobblehead Night on 7/18.
OT: Hey WilltheThrill
Did you win the bid for Will’s Jersey? I got booted at the last minute for twice the price.
I think
We lose this Game. Not sure why, but I get that feeling.
Eugeniooooooo!!!!

I know you guys need money...
but those ads that pop out and cover half the page really piss me off.
Also: IF we win, we’re probably only 4 games out, and we’ve got 2 great pitchers going after tonight. Twoud be a bonus to win, but I’m not really expecting it either.
Yea yeah,

C'mon
I understand that you’re upset, but if you honestly believe that there’s not something like that happening in every sport during every year, then you’re being naive.
I’m not saying there’s full-on fixing of games, but these leagues know how much money certain matchups get them, and they’re not exactly upset when said matchups occur.
If you think the Lakers/Celts got here without some help from the refs…well, they didn’t.
Well
I knew it at the time, but I had “let it go”
It was pretty obvious they didn’t want cow town in the finals, but thats like a nail in the coffin that I thought was buried 6 feet under. I’m not suggesting I didn’t know, but it just dragged it out of the ground.
For WilltheThrill, this is Jon Miller saying goodnight. . . .

Yeah, understandable.
It’s still pretty ridiculous. I feel the same way about the Pats this year, though it’s not really the same thing. They’re obviously a dirty team, but everyone wants to limit it to this spygate bullshit. That’s just a small aspect of a much larger pattern of behaviour that is largely ignored by most people.

It's always confusing to look at the other team's SBNation blog
Aside from the obvious fact that they’re very rarely as gabby as us in general, the comments are usually all specifically about the game, with little-to-no commentary on Bea Arthur’s sexuality, cooking, or medieval Arabic explorers. It’s all very strange indeed.
The Rockies SBN blog is particularly bad

Seriously, Giants draft no better than a b- ?
That is just awful
by Lars The Wanderer on Jun 10, 2008 7:32 PM PDT up reply actions
I'd give it a solid B/B+
I just happen to like the Padres a little more. It might be because I’m biased against the Bruin you drafted, though.
I don't think there is any doubt about it.
Your bias was clear

Ugh Durham....
Seriously I will never understand base running mistakes. It’s really not THAT hard to pay attention to where the ball and other runners are.
Ray...

Ray has given away lots of outs on the basepaths this year
Only 909 games until the end of Zito's contract
Ugh
Thanks Ray.
Lewis sure seems to K a lot lately. Cold streaks suck.

In play. Run(s)
Durham out at second(ahahaha)
Fred Lewis K’s swinging (OMG…stop…gasp…)

1. Durham flys out to Taveras who drops the ball
2. Denker goes back to bag to tag up and then realizes the ball not caught so then takes off running
3. Viz is running from the git and is only 10 feet behind Denker before 3b coach holds up Vizquel
4. Durham sees Viz rounding 3b hard and takes off for 3b then get caught in run down
Vanessa Bryant..proof of the old saying “It doesn’t matter how good she looks, someone out there is sick of her”
Billy Ripken is not a fuck face
No
Philly. By a wide margin.

Went off to do some home repair, we got a run
and what the heck was all that. Maybe I’ll do more , just heard Kuip say its starting to look like the second. Oh yeah more home repair.
Good night
My condolences to those who tough it out.
Running Down the Wing

Kuip: "The Giants are still very much in this game..."
No Kuip sorry they are not.
Cook is good, and the Giants O isn’t built for big comebacks, I don’t care if this is Coors Field. Humidor ftw!
And now its over 7-0. Helton getting me fantasy points ftw!
So Chulk is already 3 runs in, just 2 more!
I wouldn’t bother with the checking in later.

In all fairness...
Expected to lose this one.
Will win the next two…hopefully
No way I’m staying for the end
Hope that something good happens

LA up 43 - 37 at the half
LA Fakers getting some free throws tonight. Too bad they ain’t falling. Only 12-22.
just means the refs will give them more chances
they will get call after call

LOL @ the NBA Refs
Donoghy or whatever his name is testifies that they rigged Game 6 against the Kings to make it a game 7. And now in this series there’s been huge favoritism towards the home teams. Got to love the NBA.
Wow 9 catchers have played for both the Giants and Rockies
That’s pretty damn funny when you think about it. It greatly explains why neither team has had a good catcher.
