Who should get sent down when Omar is activated?
The papers are reporting that Omar will be activated today. There's a chance the Durham goes on the DL, but if not, either Burriss or Bocock will get sent down. Which one should it be?

Bocock, not sure why it’s even a question.

Who is Brain Bocock?
I answered in the form of a question.
Billy Hayes: Nine more big-league plate appearances than you.
If Durham does on the DL, do the Giants go with three shortstops?
Eagerly awaiting Crazy Crab Bobblehead Night on 7/18.
Durham neither "goes" nor "does"
He’d ground into the DL.

Burriss played...
10 of 14 games in Fresno at second this year, but never before. Bocock played 22 of 40 games at second in 2006, but hasn’t after.

Boch says Omar will bring more offensive consistency to the lineup
And I thought, short of batting .000 with 100% k rate, could you really be more consistent than Bocock?
My boy ain't fat, he's just big boned. Big bat, too.

Brian Bocock should go see the shiny submarines in Connecticut. Thank you Bocock for giving your best. I fault Brian Sabean for having putting you in a tough situation.
Nah, go back to Hi A
He needs to gain confidence in his offensive skills again, so sending him to A again would be better than to send him to a pitchers league

Lewis and Lincecum can stay
and Molina.

Burriss
He looks more like a guy who will benefit from minor league at-bats. Send him somewhere we he can play everyday.
Bocock probably isn’t going to hit at any level and having him rotting away on the bench is preferable to Burriss doing so.
I don’t think the one that stays is going to “rot” on the bench. Omar is going to need to sit out alot, and Burriss can also be a defensive replacement for Velez or Durham at second base. He’ll get his atbats. I’m going to try and forget about Bocock’s hitting and just remember that great DP he made the other night behind Tyler Walker. That was terrific, a ball that Omar would never reach.

I had an English teacher in high school who used to tell the story about a professor of hers in college who would grade papers by weight. So she wrote a paper that just said “mashed potatoes” thousands of times, and she got an A. She was also the speech team coach (it was called the forensics team in Maryland) at our high school, and whenever someone was just sort of BS-ing their way through a part of their speech, she would pipe up from the back of the classroom and say “maaaaashed potatoes”, and everybody would crack up.
Send Eugenio down
Eugenio needs to learn the game. He can’t field, he’s a train wreck on the bases, and he can’t hit a breaking ball. It’s only going to get worse up here. Let him play at AA where he can learn some basic rules of the game.

This is the first I thought of this..
But I think I’d choose this over Bocock/Burriss right now if Durham isn’t DL bound. Burriss is holding his own alright, and Bocock I don’t think will amount to anything in the future as a hitter, so might as well use him as a fielder now. Velez could work on his fielding in AAA more I think, the coaches are there to teach more than at the major league level. Durham can be at second, with Burriss filling in and Bocock if needed.
