Lewis can hit LHP
So why is he not in the lineup? With a day off yesterday it can’t be because he needed rest.
there's an easier way to do this
Velez, 2B .232
Burriss, SS .241
Winn, RF .257
Molina, C .296
Rowand, CF .337
Aurilia, 1B .260
Castillo, 3B .239
Ortmeier, LF .229
Sanchez, P .077

.300?

1) That’s a relatively meaningless metric
2) Molina is at frigging .296
3) This team currently has 3 real hitters- Lewis, Rowand, and Molina. To keep any of them out of the lineup for ancient matchup crap reasons is stupid, especially since, according to B-R, this season Lewis hits .297/.381/.378 against LHP vs .308/.389/.470 against RHP. The only real drop is in SLG. Even accounting for that, against LHP, he’s still one of our top 3 hitters.
¿Julio is tourist in San Francisco? Harper's Bizarre!
Career numbers
Sorry, those are not this year’s numbers, those are career.

.381 career OBP vs LHP
only .008 lower than his career line against RHP. Undoubtedly the best OBP on the team, against either armed pitchers. So, yeah.

This is the same team
That had Ortmeier pinch hit for him in a crucial situation while Freddie was on the hot streak of his life.

Aw, c'mon Sanchez.
Zito didn’t sneak back into the rotation early, did he?
It's my blarg! Quick Pitch
You know what I hate most about Zito? I’m going to the game on Sunday, and it was going to be Lincecum’s turn to start. Instead, with Zito in the bullpen, it’s goddamned Patrick Misch. I’m sure he did it all to annoy me.
Really? ESPN.com has it down as Misch.
Sanchez started the last game I went to, but I wouldn’t mind seeing him again. Still rather see Lincecum, though. I haven’t been to the ballpark for one of his starts yet.
probable pitchers
crap, crap I got the timmy tickets when he was listed for Friday. I went to the first and was planning on making it a recurring event. Damn.
Is there a traffic tie-up?
Or is the Pirate faithful just late to the yard? 70 degrees too warm?
Plenty of good seats still available.
You expect a full ballpark for a team who hasn’t had a winning season since 1992 playing a team with no players anyone in Pittsburgh has heard of?

Every time I watch Sanchez pitch, and see the velocity and stuff he has, and that he’s a lefty, I wonder how the hell he got drafted in the 27th round. He’s still inconsistent, but I can’t remember any Giants with that much potential taken that late in the draft.
I mean, Marvin Benard was taken in like the 62nd round, but he had neither talent nor potential, so.
Benard was awesome!

the 1-800 number where I can call to vote on “Worst Giants Game of 2008?” Because I’d like to vote for “May 6.”

Dual purpose
He also has to show without a shadow of doubt, that he is, in fact, toast.
Only 940 games until the end of Zito's contract
So the Pirates are undefeated, right?

Why does this team of all teams own us lately? Jon Miller said the Pirates are 10-2 in their last 12 against Los Gigantes.

It's my blarg! Quick Pitch
Your pick to replace Henny on the roster?
a) Alexander Hinshaw
b) Billy Sadler *
c) Sergio Romo
d) Osiris Matos *
e) Kelvin Pichardo *
f) Erick Threets *
- on 40-man roster
Isn't Threets still on the DL?
I think I’d go with Sadler or Pichardo
