Matt Cain Suicide Watch Alert Level Raised
Here’s good news:
LHP Barry Zito was supposed to be available in relief for the first time Friday, but manager Bruce Bochy said Saturday will be his first day in which he can be summoned. Bochy used six relievers Friday, so there’s a decent chance Zito will get action in relief of RHP Matt Cain on Saturday.

the pheonix is poised to rise from the ashes. What better way then three shut out innings in relief of Cain.

It appears that Pat Burrell is a free agent at the end of the year. And he’s from the Bay Area, no? He could provide a slight upgrade over Rich Aurilia at first base, and move back to the outfield when Villalona’s ready.
Just a random thought. I’m sure there are reasons we don’t want him and that he’ll get crazy money. I just wish we’d have a genuine slugger at first base. Hasn’t happened since 1993.

I keep turning the game on and off
Eugenio walk and stolen base.
Damn, I’m smooth.
Only 942 games until the end of Zito's contract
Might as well walk over to third.

Velez basically steals every time he gets on base.
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.

Radio REALLY screwing up.
It just said “Bengie Molina beat out an infield hit.”

probably would have been a good idea to score a run there
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
Yeah, but the Giants take, like, twice the effort to score a run than the average ML team
Like last night, Giants 16 hits and 5 runs. Phillies 8 hits and 6 runs.
Only 942 games until the end of Zito's contract
In a better run world...
Rowand runs into Myers.

310 to right?
Does the MLB know that there’s a professional team playing in a little league stadium?
