To answer my own question – no. Signed through 2009.

Winn should not be batting third
Drop him to seventh, move Rowand up to third, and move everyone else up accordingly.
That's all I can stands, I can't stands no more!
Winn does not hit well with men on base.
Worse than almost every other Giant.
That's all I can stands, I can't stands no more!
Switching Winn and Rowand makes sense.
Also, how Winn hits with men on base is really going to fluctuate. Better to look at how he hits in general.
by North Side Chicago Expatriate Giants Fan on May 27, 2008 8:37 PM PDT up reply actions
Winn's approach appears to change greatly with men on base
Starts swinging at everything. He becomes a much worse hitter with men on base.
With bases empty, Winn takes a good share of pitches, gets walked a lot more, and gets more hitters’ counts. He also seems less anxious and ends driving more pitches for extra bases. Don’t know why he can’t bring that approach to situations with runners on base.
That's all I can stands, I can't stands no more!
Rrrrr.
