Arrrgh!!!!
Damn you stupid lakers. Right in the middle of John Miller’s sentence, the radio feed switches over to the laker’s pregame show. I am denied my Giants.
I've got your back, Special Agent Jack Taschner.
That was among my least favorite things in SLO.

Where have I heard that phrase before?
“Zito today.” It just seems so familiar.

something’s wrong with my picture. It just showed Barry Zito blowing a fastball by Hanley Ramirez.

Girlfriend never ceases to amaze me
HRC talks about Presidential candidate Bobby Kennedy being shot during 1968 campaign. Damn girl, after all the talk about Vince Foster, Ron Brown and others leave it alone. And thanks for giving Obama another reason not to add you to the ticket.
6 run lead.

Kruk, in reference to Zito
“he’s always been a flyball-strikeout guy”
now i think he’s a FLYBALL strikeout? guy
That check swing grounder..
Was only the 2nd groundout. Zito’s gotta learn to put some sink on his fastball. Become a sinkerballer.

Why don’t they pull Vizquel and Durham for Denker and Omar??

I hate these cervesa commercials or whatever.

We would be treated to another anti-Tecate commercial rant.
Only 924 games until the end of Zito's contract
Always enjoyed going to games at Pro Robbie...
I lived in Orlando for five years and in that time managed to make three pilgrimages down there to see the Giants. It’s certainly not a great ballpark by any stretch, but I liked it for some reason. I think Richie liked hitting there, too. He was the hero of two of the three games I attended.
- June of ‘96— A day game in the middle of summer, in Miami. I brought my wife and our two sons, one of whom was all of nine months old. Nuttiest of all, we sat in the right field bleachers in the blazing tropical sun. Oddly, my wife begged off the next two times I went, as did my younger son (via my wife as proxy). Giants went down meekly, 3-2, to Kevin Brown, who went the distance. Brown took a 3-0 lead into the ninth, the Giants loaded the bases with the first three batters, then scored two runs on ground outs before Tom Lampkin grounded out to end the game. Shades of the ‘08 Giants!

- May of ‘98— This time the Giants take a 2-0 lead into the ninth inning (Orel Hershiser 6 scoreless, followed by 2 scoreless from Julian Tavarez), only to have Robb Nen load the bases (double, walk, walk) with the first three batters of the inning. Then with one out, Jeff Kent boots a potential game-ending DP grounder to allow the tying runs to score. But in the 10th inning, Rich Aurilia leads off with a HR, keying a 6-run explosion! Giants win 8-2 in 10 innings!

- April of 2000—Going into the ninth the Giants are trailing 9-7, but Bonds, Kent and Felipe Crespo all single to bring the Giants to within a run. Then, after Snow grounds out, Rich Aurilia hits the first pitch he sees from Antonio Alfonseca for a game winning 3-run HR. Nen sets the Marlins down 1-2-3 for the save. Giants win 11-9!
Paid attendance that night was 8,000-something, but it was actually pretty cold for Miami. The place felt empty—like one of those nights in the 70’s when the Giants drew crowds in three figures. My son and I were on the big screen like three times that night.

Sorry…that was long and boring.
(that’s what she said)
That's all I can stands, I can't stands no more!
I kind of liked it
Passion for a crappy ballpark is noble. All Joe Robbie seems to be missing are bleachers set 100 feet back from the field and walled off from the fence by bicycle racks.
Twenty-seven years of waiting has come to an end.

Like that Yabu continues to pitch well
maybe he can be another one of our bums we can deal at the deadline
there was some clubhouse guy or coach or something that almost didn't get a high five
that would’ve sucked for him, being ignored in one of his only tv appearances on the season
I betcha Rowand would have caught that had he just imagined a wall right behind second base

Uh-oh Sergio
SInce returning from injury Sergio Romo has not been the same. He gave up three runs in 1 inning tonight.
I don’t know that calling him the third choice behind Frandsen and Castillo really qualifies as “love.”
No.
Russel Martin ( as in “Suck it Russel Martin”) is a Bum.

these commercials are just really irritating me tonight. this one about how he controls the radio is just very >:(

Is that the "Repeat after me!" commercial?
“If I own the car, I own the car radio!”
If so, yeah, that one is annoying

actually
I just wrote to both Kragen and KNBR to tell them that those commercials stink. I mean, sure, maybe you have the sentiment – wanting to listen to the game versus anything else – but the anger in the guy’s voice is fairly violent. Is that what we need? I don’t think so.
Jeez.
Did you write to the television broadcasters about all that needless gratuitous sexual referencing as well?

I’m actually less worried about tapping into people’s sexual desires than I am with material that is suggestive of violence. In fact, if we were healthier about the former, we’d probably get less of the latter. Anyway, not really the place for this conversation, I suppose. I was glad to see that others were bothered by those commercials.

Games like this
are why no ML pitcher, no matter how bad the team or pitcher, will ever go winless in a season. It’s just impossible. And congrats, Barry.
