Adopted Giants: Please Reclaim Your Guy

I guess we lost the adoption papers in the great transition from old skool McCoven to new school SB Nation platform. Not even Grant has a record of who had whom, so I thought I'd start a FanPost to try and track all the adoptions. (The hidden agenda is that I want to upgrade from Billy Hayes, bullpen catcher, to Erick Threets, last-ditch reliever, if he's not already claimed.)

Please post  your adopted dude here, and please feel free to Recommend this FanPost so it can stay on the front page and hopefully everyone can see it. Once we've accounted for everyone, maybe we can archive this somehow or someone can host it on their webserver?

Awesome. Thanks.

*edit*: It just occurred to me that one of you may have a record of the Adoption List. If that's the case, please share it! Then I can delete this stoopid thing.

This FanPost is reader-generated, and it does not necessarily reflect the views of McCovey Chronicles. If the author uses filler to achieve the minimum word requirement, a moderator may edit the FanPost for his or her own amusement.

Not So Fast....

Here is a link to the old Wiki Adopted Page .

I suppose it would be up Grant weather or not we continue to use the prior adoption "papers" granted, pun intended, by the Court of McCoven.

I reserve the right to adopt my two wayward sons.

I suppose that

wayward members should be allowed a certain time period ( 15, 30 days ?) to reclaim their children. After that it's so on :-)

We also need to add the new "old" Giants.

I thought we were starting over for each season

in any event, I adopted Jackson Smith, the uber Junior Giants Announcer. I haven't seen him yet this year and his 15 minutes may be up, so I think I'll shelve that idea and pick someone new.

I adopt Thomas Neal, 1b in August, if he's still available.

Derin McMains

Because he took Trevor Hoffman deep in a spring traning game I attended in 2006. He can always shack up with me, until the Giants non-tender or Rule 5 him, which could have already happened for all I know.

Let's be honest, what parent nowadays is able to keep close tabs on his youngins?

someone to speak up when the adopted is getting slammed in a posting or diary/fanpost.

Also,

It's a great way to insulate against complete and abject depression and disillusion - everytime a comment about a player is made, SOMEBODY has to defend him.
