Giants / Padres Opening Day Photos

The Giants manage to lose another opening day (three for three this year). Fortunately, the weather was great, the ceremony was compelling, and the bratwursts were delicious. Hard to argue with that combination of factors, so the game was enjoyable despite the outcome.

Once again, I took some photos that I hope you all enjoy. I shared them using Picasia, so those of you with blocked Facebook at home should be able to see them.

Camera

I use a PowerShot G9 - Canon's high-end fixed lens camera. Takes really great pics, IMO, despite my terrible case of the shakes.

He was at the Lefty O'doul gate about 90 minutes before the game. I'm guessing there were other players at the other gates.

Maybe you missed him because he's maybe 5'7" in cleats, and could easily pass for a random high schooler? I barely noticed him.

That's cool. When I went to Opening Day in 2006, Jeff Fassero said hello to me and gave me a calendar.

Democracy is lovely but baseball is more mature. BVCE supports Manny Burriss and SF Dugout.

The novelty of Jeff Fassero saying hello to me and giving me a calendar wore off as soon as Lowry hurt himself and Fassero was pitching in the first inning of the game.
