RickRoll the Mets
I'm not going to get my hopes up, but this would be funny. From the website:
"Do you want to help?
The New York Mets are allowing people to vote for what sing-a-long song they will play during the eighth inning of their final season at Shea Stadium.
They did not include Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" as an option, but they included an "Other:" field for people to suggest a different song."

AT&T Park 8th inning singalong:
"Numb" by Nirvana.
Eagerly awaiting Crazy Crab Bobblehead Night on 7/18.
If we're going with Nirvana...
I think "Rape Me" would be much more applicable.
Looks like I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue...

Nirvana?
There's also Kurt's cheerful little ditty "I Hate Myself and I Want to Die." ("You're the one I want to rebuild.")
Disfrute Los Gigantes every day at www.leftymalo.com
i'm in.
Bengie Molina: stretching doubles into singles since 1998.
Maybe you can explain this to me
What's with the Rick Astley revival lately? All I ever see is Astley this, Astley that. Even that crazy pie chart! (Which was hilar.) But I don't get the renaissance. That video has been around on YouTube for awhile, right? Why is it hott stuff now?
Adopted son Notgardo tearing up Spring Training ... that's tearing as in tears. Make mama proud!
I don't understand earlier, Joel McHale mentioned it on "The Soup" this past weekend as well claiming he had been rickrolled.

One of my favorite writers explains it perfectly here:

mostly related to 4chan & scientology
4chan: group of idiots on the internets behind the whole "anonymous" anti-CoS movement; they often reference Rick Astley and the rickroll at the protests. I imagine this has raised the profile somewhat.
Billy Hayes: Nine more big-league plate appearances than you.
Anti-what?

CoS
Church of Scientology.
If you like things that are funny, perhaps you will enjoy ChatterBalks Dot Com?
You know, for an actual fan of Rick Astley as myself ("Never Gonna Give You Up" is definitely on the soundtrack of my childhood), I love this phenomenon, though "Together Forever" doesn't get enough credit.
I can't wait for May to come around - then I won't be teased for being a Giants fan anymore. I swear these Virginians don't know what they're talking about.
Ummmm
I think that you're relating to this on a slightly different level than most of the rest of us are ...
Update
The Mets have been successfully rickrolled: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/mets/2008/04/08/2008-04-08_team_brass_sees_astley_as_ghastly.html
I swear to god if I ever heard Sweet Caroline at a ballgame I'd set myself on fire.
Democracy is lovely but baseball is more mature. BVCE supports Manny Burriss and SF Dugout.
