But mainly pitchers, especially younger players, will go with their catcher, especially early in the game. You'll see that more in tight late inning situations.

Yesterday there was a short clip pre-game and the one Cubs announcer is trying to actually announce the game winning run scoring for the other team while Santo is just kind of moaning next to him about the Cubs losing.
