Does he have any command, or does he just throw whatever nasty pitch he can, somewhere near the strike zone? Seems like bengie's glove moves a lot on every pitch. What say the regular watchers?

this mlb extra innings commercial
really is irritating. not because it is on every break, or because it has the cubs (wearing a home jersey) on the left side of the bug... but because even in a commercial, the giants are losing 7-4. but hey, it has the giants with 4 runs. a positive.
is it just me
or was the pitching really badly mismanaged in this game?
wasn't the point of not starting timmy to make sure he didn't pitch with a rain delay in the middle of his outing? yet waiting till the 4th to let him pitch made that exact thing happen.
2002? I'm over it. But I'll never be over Rich Aurilia.
No, not at all
Why would you think that?
Rajai Davis: fast.
by Mike Benjamin Hit King on Apr 2, 2008 11:04 PM PDT up reply actions
Apparently, both managers got incorrect weather reports saying the rain was another hour or two away -- hence, they brought in the starters to go what they thought would be 3+ innings
so why not
let them start and pull them after the delay?
2002? I'm over it. But I'll never be over Rich Aurilia.
and also
why let him pitch after the delay at all? I missed a bunch of the game - how long did the delay end up being?
2002? I'm over it. But I'll never be over Rich Aurilia.
Let me reword : At first they thought a downpour was imminent and the game wouldn't get to the 5th. During the game, they got told, "Nah, you got a couple more hours" - so *then* they brought in the starters. Then the downpour hit as promised, and the delay happened. Or that's my understanding, anyway.

From Hank's story today in the Chronicle::
Bochy defended the decision, saying, "If we thought we were going to hurt his arm, we wouldn't have done it."
In related news, Alan Greenspan defended his decisions, saying, "If we though subprime lending was risky, we would have regulated it."
HA!
Nice one. However as bad as the lending may have been, the bail-out being given is even worse. I'm not too thrilled about my tax dollars going to help those that were dumb enough to get into one of those loans.

Winning
I stayed up till almost 3 last night watching the game in Boston (MLB.tv is the greatest thing to hit the internet since online gambling), and as a result I missed my class today. Normally, I would've gone to bed, but the fact that we actually had a shot at winning kept me glued to my computer. It only made me realize how much Sabean sucks because if he had drafted properly and put together a decent team, we would've won in the 5th and I could've gotten some sleep.
Also, how bad do the Dodgers suck? If we didn't suck and fuck up so many times over the course of the series, we could've had a shot at sweeping and would've easily taken 2 of 3. What happens when they play a team that couldn't beat their own class A affiliate? ahahahaha
The 2008 Giants: Think 2005 Rockies with a payroll twice as big and half as much talent.
I did not get a chance to follow last nights game.
But looking at the box score just how in the Wide, Wide , world of Sports did Rowand only get 3 AB’s , No BB’s and no HBP while every one else got 5 Plate appearances?
I am a Giants fan. Thus I enjoy my pain.
Only the first four spots in the order got 5 PAs -- if Molina had reached in the ninth, Rowand would have come up for the fifth time. Rowand was 0-3 with a sacrifice fly (the one Ethier/Jones let drop).
Thanks for clearing that up for me.
I saw Catillo had the 4 P.A’s but did not realize Molina had the final at bat.
I am a Giants fan. Thus I enjoy my pain.
