Happy Timmy Day!
I’ll have my three beers to that.
(Explanation: I can only have three tasty beverages here. And it’s 102 degrees with widespread dust.)
“Here’s to Timmy Franchise notching his 5th win, giving him an outside chance to win 20 on a team that might not win 60.” That’s what I’ll say. Oh, and “three cheers for three beers.” I’m gonna go find someone to drink with.

Iraq?
Enjoy your three beers, my friend! And remember: inside every Shiite and Sunni there’s a Giants fan just waiting to get out.

nope. "forward deployed location in southwest asia"
they don’t let us drink at all in iraq. bahrain, qatar, kuwait, and i think uae we can, but, in other news, i am working on converting a dodgers fan to the light side. it was going well when the giants were ahead in the standings.
i had no idea what time it was in the states, i thought the game was about to start. forgot to do the math :(

Tim Day Observed
I like Tim Day. It’s the best day of the week. When Tim Alderson arrives in SF, we can have TWO Tim Days a week. There will be libations, baked goods, and strikeouts for all.

Hey!
I love Timmy as much as anyone on this site but let’s not neglect our other Boy Wonder, Mr. Matt Cain, who battled through a small strike zone and command issues last night to get his first victory of the season. If he can get results like that on an “off” night, imagine the joy he’ll be bringing us later this season when he really gets it in gear?
Enjoy Timmy Day, everyone, and look forward to Cainerday this weekend.
Eagerly awaiting Crazy Crab Bobblehead Night on 7/18.

GTA IV
I’ve never been very enthused by open world gaming, but the early buzz on GTA IV kind of makes me want to actually play a genre that has never given me anything I’ve truly enjoyed playing before. Which, as far as my gaming and I are concerned, is a huge deal.
Still don’t know if I’ll buy it, but it really looks like a massive, epic, complete and total masterpiece of gaming.

Also
All dropped toast is met with flavor, and all romantic advances land herbutt-side up.
-
Hisbutt-side up also a valid means for romantic advances to end. It just didn’t phonically complete the above punchline, otherwise I would have made a point to include it.

Tonite is singles nite, innit?
This bodes well.
Anyone ever done the singles nite thing? Seems like a worthwhile promotion. I imagine a section with two or three women and a cadre of drunk San Francisco males…many of whom are confused about who to be hitting on.

and the caption said that was Noah. It doesn’t really look like him to me though. Looks more like Sweeney, but wtf I can’t get my head around the idea of Tim Lincecum and Mark Sweeney going fishing together.

The most impressive thing about Timmy is...
How about that 2.22 GO/AO ratio? The K rates are very impressive and flashy, but he’s keeping the ball on the ground a lot. Can he keep it up?

Five days
There are five days of the week that start with the letter “T.” Today, tomorrow, Tuesday, Thursday … and Timsday. Both last Thursday and today were Triple T days. Today, Tuesday, Timsday.
Even though the Sharks almost eliminated themselves and Tim suffered his first loss of the season, Triple T days are the best!
