Barry Zito Is Playing Into A Difficult Environment

Barry Zito fans need only read what gets a player out of a place no fan understands why you are in.  Here is the secret.  Every Zito fan, everyone in the media, everyone in the organization plays a role in the difficulties Barry faces.

Barry could still win 15 even playing for the Giants.  And it is very very simple.  Unfortunately the Giants players are playing for an organization who has put in place a  "karmic" dynamic which may result in the worst decade this organization has ever known.  And they haven't a clue as to what they are doing to power it.

Difficult environment

I thought you were going to tell me it had something to do with a mix of roughly 80% nitrogen and 20% oxygen, and I was morbidly curious about Zito’s newly evolved gills.

A proud member of a Giant program would have been quite upset I imagine to have watched what the organization did the greatest player in the game. (well one of them) But then maybe they just didn’t have courage to stand up to mlb.

Do they buy chunky margarine? “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Broken Glass?”

I'm a creamy fan

but every now and then I like a little chunky.

actually, this is funny – I was in the grocery store yesterday having a dilemma. see I love peanut butter and I want to eat it a lot but the problem is that it’s so damn fattening. So I usually buy the reduced fat kind. but the reduced fat kind has like, a lot more carbs and sugar than the regular fat kind. And this goes for all natural, organic, and the regular stuff. What’s a guy to do???

Still defending Rich Aurilia, and the Niners classic Unis

by wjackalope on Apr 29, 2008 9:35 AM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Ketchup? Catsup?

I consider the kind of fats in these foods when buying. Nuts are high in fat, but they contain a lot of good fats, monounsaturated and that. Jif however packs in the sugar and stuff. If the bad fat content is close to or higher than the good fat content, tis not worth it to me.

by BaronVonCurrentEvents on Apr 29, 2008 9:40 AM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Buy the natural / organic

ones, with no sugar added, the ones that have the layer of oil at the top; those are the best if you’re concerned about fattening.

If you must have sugar in your PB, buy a natural organic version, then, mix it with some non calorie sweeteners, like sucralose(splenda), or if you want a natural non calorie sweetener, stevia.

The reduced fat versions actually tend to be the most fattening.

Reduced Fat Peanut Butter....

is an abomination. It should be outlawed. As Baron previously stated, nuts generally contain primarily “good” fats. Reduced Fat Peanut Butter always tastes like paste to me :-(

If you are going to eat peanut butter, just have the real kind and do a little more exercise.

This peanut butter debate is harkening back to the recipe my friend and I made up for peanut butter and onion sandwiches. It’s still only in theory because neither of us has the time to test it. It involves hand made peanut butter (chunky of course), carmelized sweet onions, a baguette, and from there we can’t decide what else to do with it. Green onions? Scallions? Sweet garlic spread?

"While conservatives tell you 'leave things alone and no one will lose,' and liberals tell you 'interfere a lot and no one will lose,' baseball says 'someone will lose.' Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.

by jponry on Apr 29, 2008 9:56 AM PDT to parent up   0 recs

We picked hand made PB over the storebought stuff because we want to go for a more savory flavor overall. It’s pretty easy to make too except you gotta watch it to keep the oil from rising to the top.

I imagine that peanut butter and garlic together would taste sort of like pad thai or something. One of these days we’ll test this recipe out.

There's a kid that goes to the same park as my kids...

He puts a little steamed spinach on his pb sandwiches. I have never seen anyone do that. He is only six, but he eats it, so I have to give him credit for being adventurous. But, I think if you go with an Thai concept it kind of makes sense. Maybe throw some chili oil and just a dash of sesame oil?

by out machine on Apr 29, 2008 11:31 AM PDT to parent up   0 recs

This is GD brilliant. I suggested a soft cheese like Havarti but we were both kinda eh at the idea. But a Thai spin on it would totally work.
