Yes, but I had Freddie AND THE EXACT DATE!
And I have proof.

That was fun...
Kruk says “here’s a guy who can do it.” Papa says something like “what, a splash hit?” kind of unbelievingly, and Kruk says, “yeah, he definitely has the power to do it,” about 2 seconds before Freddie deposited the first pitch in the water.
its ok this pitching is better than what we will see tomorrow
Riddle:
I wear blue and white, I arrive to baseball games in the 4th inning, I leave in the 7th inning, my team's home stadium plays movie trailers between innings, I read magazines during the game, I play with beach balls, and I love the wave.
Who am I?
Durham seemed to think there was a runner on 1st

Merkin Valdez
If Correia needs to go on DL would like for Giants to call up Misch as a LHP in bullpen and have Valdez start,
I cant recall, has Freddy contributed to this teams wretched display of defense tonight? he looks great at the plate
I wanted to adopt, but all the good looking babies were taken
That reminds me
Of the time I saw tiny A’s pitcher Shane Komine brush back Troy Glaus. Glaus was flat on his back, and a loud A’s fan right near us (we were right over the Blue Jays visitor dugout) yells, “BRUSHED BACK BY THE LITTLE GUY!”
¿Julio is tourist in San Francisco? Harper's Bizarre!
Did it get totally dead in here after my comment?
My mojo that bad?

Trade Bait
SF has tried to unload the vets Aurilia Roberts Durham etc to no avail. The trade bait that SF has that other teams crave is relief pitching and the Giants have some nice arms.
Sooooo....
Lemme see here….4 runs spread over 2 games against a team many ‘experts’ had down as a contender (Padres) equates to a 2 game sweep.
5 runs against a team most think is going nowhere and it is on the wrong end of a drubbing.
It’s going to be hard to put a finger on Your 2008 San Francisco Giants.
Derin McMains had five fingers, but he only used three.
Much like the Texas Rangers, they draft by the pound.
Derin McMains had five fingers, but he only used three.
Lucky me
I have to accompany the wife to a “couples” baby shower tomorrow, so I’ll miss the Zito start.
“Couples” baby shower > Zito’s “dirty-diapering” on the mound
Derin McMains had five fingers, but he only used three.
Checking in here in the 9th inning. Looks like an ugly game.

March is the cruellest month, breeding
Centerfielders out of the dead land, mixing
Molinas and Ortmeiers, stirring
Dull Rowands with spring training...
Performing above expectations
If nothing else, this team once again gives us a watchable game
Let's bring the...

Winn-Lame
Winn’s weak groundout - woohoo I made an RBI, coach - started the march to the abyss.
The atbats were great until then.
Especially since he was essentially a leadoff man in a one-run game there (ignoring Velez on 3rd, as he should), and the first pitch was a ball. He needed to take a strike there, or at least hit the ball hard if he didn’t.

Well, I was there tonight. Lots of good things: Velez is out of his slump, Fred Lewis is still hitting the hell out of the ball, Manny Burriss started (squee). Scoring. Runs. Youth. All good. Lots of bad: Correia’s injury, the bullpen was lousy (except for Merkin and Chulk, and even Merkin had me going oh Christ there for a bit), Winn and Rowand looking like they’re not seeing the ball well at all lately. The double switches. What the hell was that all about? Bochy managed to use every position player except for Bengie in the game. I just…what? And frickin’ letting Ray Durham bat when you absolutely positively needed an impact player to bat in that spot. You let Ray hit while Bengie languishes on deck. WTF is that? As the father of the illustrious TK told me tonight, Bruce Bochy is an idiot. He even told me to “go on the blog and tell them” that Bochy is an idiot. Hey, I gotta do what dad says.

What was up with Ray hitting with the game on the line? Bengie was available!

From where I was sitting (way up in the view level), the remaining fans were still upbeat even after Ortmeier grounded out. Then people realized Ray was our last chance, and the mood quickly deflated, leading to the anticlimactic called third strike. WTF indeed.

Where were you sitting? I was in 311 (courtesy of the Mayor of 311). Maybe you heard me and my compatriot (not the Mayor) cheering.

I was in VR308. I did hear some cheers starting from your direction, but I also heard plenty from some vocal drunks in my area, who mostly focused on Aurilia, Steve Holm’s catching skills, and the umps. Of course, we all got loud at the end, only to be left as confused as Ray Durham at the plate.

Bochy doubleswitchgate
My dad said, “He and our manager [Clint Hurdle] together might have 100 IQ points.” So no Rockies superiority complex here.

You know what that game needed?
More double switches.
If you like things that are funny, perhaps you will enjoy ChatterBalks Dot Com?
I ditched early to go watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Looks like the Giants made it interesting in the end, but I stand by my decision.
did you like?
i thought it was the funniest movie i’d seen on the big screen in quite a while.

Somewhere between Wickenburg and Wickieup , AZ...
...on the sinuous Hwy 93…a ‘99 Escort (ZX2!) buzzed along.
The driver , barefoot (as was his wont) listened to the scratchy , intermittent sounds of a distant baseball game.
He cackled when one of the announcers said "The Giants don't want anyone to know that they beat the fans who interfere with play on the field."
He shouted gleefully when the home team staged a ninth inning comeback.
He roared with rage when the rally was killed by gritless lethargy at the plate.
C’mon , admit it…you all knew Ray would do that…I felt it as surely as the steering wheel in my hands.

So I turn on the Game and notce Zito getting shelled again
Ill say this though I respect Bochy for letting Zito get shelled like this because he deserves to. I thought it was funny at first that Zito sucked so bad for the Giants. I really feel bad for Giants fans because they do not deserve to see this crap. Jamie Moyer has better stuff then Zito right now and that is very sad.
Jamie Lynn has better stuff than Zito right now.
