ok, so the site was down and i'm late on this
and i’m not wading through the thread to find the right place, but did they seriously walk Bengie to pitch to Rowand? I mean, yes, Bengie burned you earlier in the game with the homer (loved it), and yes, he’s got the reputation for being awfully “clutch.” And yes, Rowand isn’t the offensive god we all wish he were. But seriously? Intentionally walking a guy who should be hitting seventh to pitch to a guy who could legitimately bat 5th? In what world does that make sense?
