Wrong.
He needed to hit a HR there to face a LH for the next month.

You are a prospect hound
what’s the scoop on San Jose pitcher Ben Snyder? He had a great 2007 season at Augusta and is blowing away Hi A hitters. He will be 23 yrs old this year
I’ve been told to cool it on my enthusiasm for Ben. But a great Cal League season could put him into serious discussion on prospects. So I’m waiting and hoping that comes true.

The age thing is a big part of it, but as I’ve said here I think placing so much emphasis on age is not the thing to do. Snyder also didn’t have such a great time in the Hawaii Winter Baseball league; 0-4 9.39 ERA. Another big knock on him is he has a so-so fastball for a lefty. Maybe this Cal League turn will be seen as too little too late for the naysayers, so keep that in mind.

oh, they do a postgame show on tv now?
is it as hilarious as the radio ones?
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
They just air video of the radio postgame show. There are some great moments captured on screen though. For the first couple of games, Kruk had a beer in hand. In the third, he had a bottle of water instead. At one point while Kuip was talking, Kruk took a swig of the bottle, recoiled in disgust, and threw the bottle on the ground. I don’t know if he knew that the camera was on him, but it was priceless.
SF Rolled into St Louis
The Giants won two out of three vs the Cardinals this weekend. A lot of that had to do with the starting pitchers. Giants rolled out The Big 3 – Cain, Lincecum and Sanchez – and they produced. Cannot wait until the team makes the playoffs and starts these 3 in a series.

Live from DC
I love watching this team play. Born and raised in the city now living in DC, watching games on the MLB package. The good news out of this weekend, by breaking up with the girlfriend I won’t have to travel to a wedding the weekend they’re out here playing the Nats in their new stadium. I’ll pour out the first beer for the relationship.
The DC connection brought us Manny Burriss. Welcome.

YEE HAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The best Giants game of the season. The local bar had a bbq on their patio. Our table commanded one of the big screen’s and watched the game on the local CWI channel. One Giant fan against four Cardinal fans…needless to say when Bowker hit that homerun I bought the table a round and rubbed it in like crazy.
The food was good and the beer was cold. 73 degree temperatures in Iowa are fantastic. Bocock even got a hit. I am starting to think NLROY for Bowker. Sanchez struggled but when he needed a DP he got one. We should keep Bo… just for us leading the NL in DP’s.
One thing….Molina looks twice a big on the bigscreen as he does on the normally. The entire patio was laughing when he was huffing and puffing around the bases.
Go Giants…and thanks for a great day.
Sometimes you just have to take a dump.
We should move to St.Louis.
It seems to like us.
