From experience, I can tell you that the pitch count is related to the number of off days. Now, I wasn't a major leaguer, but I used to throw 140-150 pitches in a few games in college and usually felt dandy if I got 6-7 days of rest. I'd imagine 120 pitches would be fine if starters got 5 off days instead of 4.

I tried to watch this game on TV...
...but the channel it was supposed to be on was showing "The Biggest Loser" instead. I should have realized they just came up with a more accurate title for the Giants broadcast.
2008: My previous assessment may have been overly optimistic.
I love Jose Castillo gets less love around here than Pedro Feliz but I have a feeling the kid will grow on you as season progresses.
I'm still glad he's here instead of Feliz.
