Me wants a new CYOA dammit!

Grant, write a new CYOA. It's all I live for. PRETTY PLEASE!!!!!! WITH SUGAR ON TOP, TOO!!!!!!!!

Dammit, I'm dying in anticipation.

Must write another paragraph. There is a 75 word minimum on FanPosts. Boo. Now I am just rambling on and on. This sucks. Did I mention I would like to choose my own adventure? I really liked those books as a kid. Much better than the Romona Quimby crap books. Who names their kid Beezus? Am I at 75 words yet?

This FanPost is reader-generated, and it does not necessarily reflect the views of McCovey Chronicles. If the author uses filler to achieve the minimum word requirement, a moderator may edit the FanPost for his or her own amusement.

Didn't we just have one like a week ago?

Now might be a bit to soon for another.

It probably takes Grant five years to write one. Give the man some time.

Yeah, Goofus told me too

And then afterward, he just kept talking. It was difficult to get out of that situation politely, I’ll tell you!

How the heck did you get out of it?

I’ve tried everything, but he’s still just at my house just talking away and eating our Chinese food… my god, what’s the trick!?

What you do is

You open your phone inside your pocket and text your friend with some instructions. Your friend drops by your place, knocks loudly on the door and yells “POLICE!” You then tell Goofus that he’s sitting in a chair made of cocaine, and instruct him to go out the window and say you’ll take the heat.

Should you run into Goofus later, tell him that it turned out to be the wrong house. Lucky break! But just to be sure he’s safe, he should probably never talk to you again.

(Goofus, if you’re reading this, it was actually the police at my place. I’d pinky swear if it wasn’t too dangerous to meet up with you)

Cool

I was thinking I’d have to change it from cops to FBI, and from cocaine to meth, and from chair to couch, just to make the story unrecognizable. But since you’re not on to us at all, I can take the lazy way out and just use cops/cocaine/chair.

That’s a relief.

Awesome!

Because my friends have been wanting to play that game and the rules confuse the HELL out of me. I’m the jerk holding up the party because I don’t understand the rules. Maybe you can finally make some sense of them for me.

Me thinks the CYOA should only be used when our team is mired in a losing streak. Since we are winning I would prefer to see more False Optomism threads. It makes me feel like we have a good team even though we really don’t.

Yeah...

It seems like they always pop up after a series of games and you’re thinking, “What is going on with this team and why the heck am I still watching these games?” It’s great timing—it’s a sweet moment of humor and a sweet release from the crappiness.
