Arizona Diamondbacks at San Francisco Giants, Apr 15, 2008 1:35 PM PDT

It's finally here. The game against an opponent with nine hitters better than the Giants' cleanup hitter.

If Bowker isn't in the lineup, meet behind the Willie Mays statue at 3:30. BYOP.

I think the most creative thing I ever did in sportswriting was posing an extended metaphor using Where’s Waldo. I likened searching for a legit OF prospect in the system to spendin a day with a WW book, then took it further to say Fred Lewis wasn’t hiding anywhere wearing a red and white striped sweater and ski cap but it was still easy to miss him.

But he totally should.

Well duh. Arizona has been kicking the crap out of everyone in the NL

it’s kinda foolhardy to think we could realistically take 2 in a row.

No, I mean, I was all excited for the beginning of the season and they lost a bunch and then I sort of tempered my expectations (and didn’t have internet access for about a week) and then find out that, pleasantly, they’re only 2 games under .500! And I’m like, hey, this could be fun!

And then this happens. Like clockwork.

Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.

Heck

Guys already did better than the Dodgers. We DOMINATED them in that sweep.

What happens if Vizquel has another setback on his rehab and is not available until May? Stay with the Bocock kid? Swap him out for Burriss? Trade Durham for Uribe? Have Natto start taking grounders at SS?

I, for one, will take grounders at SS.

I can probably hit .150
