Scoreboard Watching

Tonight should be fun.  In addition to wishing/hoping/praying Zito can keep the Giants party rolling, we can enjoy the other four teams in NL West playing each other.

As hard to believe as it sounds, if:

  • Brandon Webb and the D-backs can beat the Rockies and
  • If Jake Peavy and the Padres can beat the Dodgers,
  • The Giants will vault into 3rd place in the division!!!

If the Giants, Rockies and Dodgers win, we'll still be in last place, but we'll only 2.5 games out of first place!

Who'da thunk that scoreboard watching would be fun a week ago?

Do we have to win too?

Or can we just rise up to 3rd place?

Because with Zito starting, that would probably be better.

    Mark Reynolds

Needs to keep hitting a ton of homeruns.

    My fantasy team demands it.

As others have been saying, this team is becoming increasing difficult to dislike. These last three wins have been legit and we're seeing some memorable plays. Lewis' catch and throw double play was my favorite; a great play at a key moment. Ortmeier's game winner was #2 for me.

    Pitching, pitching and mor pitching

don't forget all the great pitching that has gone on with The Streak.

As long as Freddie, Velez, and Ort play...

Otherwise I hold all rights and privileges of being able to hate this team.

Don't forget Lewis' slide into third, that was memorable too!

it was horrible. He is lucky not to be next to D Roberts on the DL

No surprise the kids are providing the excitement. I'm pretty sure that's what everyone here has been screaming about for about a year now.

wait last time we had Optimism Week Noah Lowry got mauled by someone in a foam suit and I went on the lam. I don't want that to happen again.

The last 5 days has shown me 2 things.

    1) I follow the game live they lose.

    2) I am now one of the grounds keepers from the movie Major League. I keep grinning, smilling & nodding but I keep saying " They are still shitty."

I am a Giants fan. Thus I enjoy my pain.

    I honestly like Scott Stuart

He's not asked to be a serious reporter, he takes his job seriously, and he does what he does well. I find his personality to be enjoyable, and his sense for entertainment to be strong. Mostly all the same reasons I like Chris Berman. Having a stupid job and being bad at a job are two different things. A lot of those guys are just plain bad at their jobs. Steven A. Smith, Woody Paige, and all that lot just plain suck at what they do. Scott and Berman do have stupid jobs a lot of the time, but they at least take them seriously and perform them exceptionally, and I'll always respect that much.

I'm also glad to see that Scott is apparently doing well in his recovery.

That said, "Booya" jokes are always funny.

He always looks like he's having fun and doesn't have that pretentious air about him that most of the other ESPN guys do.
