Anyone for Scott Thorman?
Backup first baseman for the Braves. Looks like they are looking to trade him and are in need of relief pitching. I personally have never heard of him but I'm sure he would be better than what we have now.

There is a good reason the Braves
A big reason why the Braves did not make the playoffs last year was their completely inexplicable decision to hand the job to ThorMan at the start of 2007.
His numbers in the majors SUCK: 70 OPS+, 667 OPS in 333 PA. Especially considering he is a 1b, and not a SS. Is not a good baserunner either.
Him numbers in the minors are mediocre, except for one season in 2006. Even with that 2006, his overall numbers in the minors are still mediocre: 792 OPS. While his strikeout totals are manageable, his walk totals are pathetic. Nor is his power good.
It isn't as if he was young for his levels either.
