Open Gameday Thread 3/7
Todd Linden and the Oakland A's play against the Scrappytown Gamers in a must-win contest.
The new Baseball Prospectus annual claims that the Giants treated Linden as if he were Justin Upton. I have no idea what that's supposed to mean.

And if Linden is the template, Beane has changed from coveting patient batters who can milk a walk to patient batters who can take a call strike three.

He thinks that if you get two centerfielders, you can stack them on top of each other, and like checkers, you've been kinged.

A's-Giants: It's personal
Meantime, Beane finds power hitters in broom closets, while the Giants jump for joy when the boxscore shows a double was hit for their side that day.
