MLB.tv Blackout Problems
I had this same problem last year, where MLB.tv is saying I'm blacked out of Giants games. I'm currently living in Seattle, my account info states I'm in Seattle, and the IP address on my computer should reflect this. Any thoughts to why this is happening?

I have the same problem
'Cept I'm in San Diego. From their site:
7. I understand MLB.com's blackout policy and think that I might be blacked out in error, what do I do next?
If you believe you are receiving the blackout message in error, please call our Customer Support toll free in the U.S. and Canada at (866) 800-1275 for further assistance.
Note: If you are traveling and are accessing the Internet through your company's VPN connection (or other secure network connection), you might be getting a blackout message because your company's host IP Address is within the restricted range for the game that you are trying to access. In this case, we suggest that you try the following: log off your company's VPN connection (or other secure network connection) and access the Internet through a local connection.
Just called their customer support line, and they say the whole system is blacked out today. Damn.

You are blacked out according to the address on your card that you used to pay for the service. I was living in So Cal a couple years ago but my address for my Wells Fargo debit card was still in Gilroy so I was blacked out.
I'm not so sure about this new layout.......
card
Are you sure about this? My card is based in San Francisco but I'm living in NY at the moment and it was fine last year. I'm worried if I decide to get it again this year.

I don't think that would be a problem as long as you provide the SF address anywhere they are looking for billing information. It doesn't make sense that it would be a problem, anyway. You bill to the address at which your card is registered, and everything else should be fair game. Unless I'm interpreting this wrongly somehow.

Wouldn't that just be a billing address issue, though? You should always provide the billing address that is on your debit/credit card when paying by debit/credit online rather than your actual residential address. If the two are the same, that's fairly convenient for you, but if they are different, always side with the address on the card.

IP Issue
I'm close to 100% sure that your billing address has NOTHING to do with MLB.TV, or at least it didn't last year.
It goes by IP, which is why when you use a proxy, you can watch whatever game you want.
Thats how it worked for me last year, I'm close-ish to DC and was blocked from Nat's games. If I used a proxy based outside of North America, I could stream any game that I wanted to.

Direct TV
did everyone know that the Direct TV package this year will now show both feeds of all the games?? For example, you can watch the Giants-Dodgers game today on either the Giants station or the Dodger station. I can't tell you how great this is for me, a fan who literally gets violent when the other team's announcing crew starts acting like homer assholes. I've even gone as far to watching the games without the volume, or listening to the knbr broadcast at mlb.com even though it was about two pitches behind!!

Super-Fantastic!
This is the best upgrade ever! Of course, I'm in LA, so for this opening series the SF feed is blacked out in favor of Scully, but to have Kruk & Kuip for all the games the rest of the year instead of having to spend 1/2 the games listening to a motley crew of assorted hacks like Brennaman, Darin Sutton, and the Rockies announcers is a gift which will literally add years on to the end of my life.
