Rowand injured?

Sportcenter just showed footage of Rowand getting nailed on the shin by a pitch.  Anyone know if he's okay?  We'd be pretty screwed if he had to miss time.  And would Raj take his place if he does?  Christ this is a lot of injuries for a season that hasn't started yet...

it doesn't matter

if he is hurt that's just more playing time for the kids. If he is out, I would expect that either winn or roberts slides over giving more time to Lewis and Davis.

2002? I'm over it. But I'll never be over Rich Aurilia.

With Rowand out, if Davis is in the game and he's not playing center, it's a crime against humanity as far as I'm concerned.

good point.

I guess I meant they might slide one of them over to give Lewis playing time in a corner... or they could just let Davis play.

True

He's entirely replacable. I just hate to see our players goin down like that. How many DL trips can we possibly start before the regular season?

Give me a crowbar and a black hood and I can take care of Aurilia for you.

I've never heard of a team coming out of spring training this banged up. "All, out all season" indeed.

Eagerly awaiting Crazy Crab Bobblehead Night on 7/18.

Somewhere Nate is smiling

Think we have some oowies? Check the Cardinals they just placed about 6/7 guys on DL.

by wilriv21 on Mar 25, 2008 3:42 PM PDT reply actions

At the rate our guys are getting injured, we'll probably be seeing the Fresno Grizzlies up here instead of the Giants. Of course, they'll probably do just as well.

Q: What's the difference between the Grizzlies and the Giants?

A: About four years.

2008: My previous assessment may have been overly optimistic.

What are you implying, exactly? Because I know you're not suggesting the presence of Rowand would make any difference in the outcome of the season for the Giants. That would be crazy!

Well...

The Giants would have to forfeit opening day on account of insufficient grit.

Rowand obviously isn't as gamey as Frandsen.

IN OTHER NEWS...

(CNN) — Chelsea Clinton has fielded a lot of questions as she campaigns for her mother's presidential bid, but on Tuesday the former first daughter faced a particularly awkward query for the first time.

Campaigning at Butler College in Indianapolis, an audience member asked the 28 year-old whether the Monica Lewinsky scandal had damaged her mother's reputation.

"Wow, you're the first person actually that's ever asked me that question in the, I don't know maybe, 70 college campuses I've now been to, and I do not think that is any of your business," Clinton responded, appearing a bit surprised by the question. The crowd immediately cheered loudly at the response.

Dear Chelsea: Given that you're Hillary's daughter, how large can we expect your butt to be in four more years?
