Now that's Bold!

Matthew Berry, supposed ESPN fantasy guru, put out his bold predictions, which always amuses me, because you know more than half of them will be wrong.  Anyways right at the end was this little prediction:

Rajai Davis steals 40 bases.

I think this just might be one that he gets wrong. I could be wrong though.

Some of those are stupid crazy.

Ankiel hitting 40 HR's this year? Sure maybe a few but not 40.

In Philly?

Not entirely impossible for Feliz. 25 is almost guaranteed in my book and 30 is within reach.

I was thinking a 25 ceiling, myself.

No

I'd go with a floor of 25. And 30 is entirely possible in Philly.

Francisco Liriano strikes out fewer than 175 batters and I'll take the under on 25 starts. - How is that a bold prediction? The man's arm is made out of glass.

You deserve to be struck out, when your first name's a verb.

Pass

Rajai won't play enough and even if he did he wouldn't get on base enough.

I looked up Steve Kline in the dictionary. He wasn't there. If he was, it would have said "pretty okay"

There's a reason they call it "fantasy" baseball.

If his name was Eugenio Valez he could.

Not a chance

He certainly could if he was a starter, but he just won't get that enough at-bats, due to our crowded outfield, to steal that many.

+1

Yep.

Delaying the disappointment: I adopt Hector Sanchez because he's only 17.

Yes. Yes it is.

I encourage others to play along too.

he'll steal more than dave roberts

I'm not so sure about that. Roberts is set to steal about 13 million in the next two years.
