No Dodgers please

For context

Wil lives in LA. He doesn't like the Dodgers, but his opinion of one of their young pitchers is that Tim Lincecum would be lucky to be the next coming of Clayton Kershaw - who is 19 and has never pitched above A Ball. That's not written wrong. I'd show you the quote if only the search function didn't totally suck now.

He is Vengeance. He is the Knight. He is Dave Righetti. PRAY TO HIM!

I know Wil lives in LA

and I didn't mean to question Kershaw's enormous potential or wilriv's hatred for the Dodgers - I just have a hard time talking about the many awesome young players the Dodgers have. I mean, if you can handle reality, then go ahead and talk about Kershaw and Kemp and Broxton and Billingsley and Ethier and Hu. I'll be over here with my eyes closed and my ears covered going LAH LAH LAH I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

Ah

My mistake.

That's what you get for taking anything I say seriously

I had to resort to this as an alternative to the search function: add

site:www.mccoveychronicles.com

to a Google search field along with whatever keywords you want. It does a decent enough job.

A search for site:www.mccoveychronicles.com + baseball + boogie gets 232 results. Thought it would be more.

Evan Longoria wins both awards because he's so good.

This would make my decision to keep him on my fantasy team look awesome.

How quickly we forget

Baron--

How can anyone pick Jay Bruce? Do you know who is managing the Reds? Have we forgotten that veteran moxie and grittiness matter more than the hustle and experience of Corey Patterson.

Poor Bruce, Votto, Volquez, Cueto, et al.

That's Lyle there, dude. Pick on us equally or get that noise out of here.

Though I should have added *if he ever gets to play. So that's my bad.

Love the Baron

Clearly it was meant as a slam against Dusty.

Feel the love everyone.

I’ll go Votto in the N.L. - Hey a power hitting First baseman in that park what is there not to like?
And Ellsbury for the A.L. - not that ESPN will be all Ellsbury all the time if he doesn’t stink the joint up.

I am a Giants fan. Thus I enjoy my pain.

Is Volquez even a rookie? Feels like he's been around forever.

by Evan on Mar 25, 2008 11:46 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Nope.

He's pitched in 80 Major League innings over his career, and the cutoff point is 50.
