That's funny, he was lame last season and they still started him.

Can't stop the machine.

Is this game on KNBR today?

don't think so, but it looked like it was free on mlb.com for some reason. I could be wrong about this, since I already have the subscription.

Just like to say:

I picked Baylor to make it to the Elite Eight. They're down by 20. In case you're not ignoring my pronouncements about sports already, you should do so immediately.

too many hits enough Ks and no BBs

What I'm liking is 1st pitch strikes! Getting ahead in the count...that's unheard of for a Giants pitcher

Brian Bocock

Am I the only fan who thinks Sabean will find another SS before opening day?

by wilriv21 on Mar 20, 2008 1:40 PM PDT   0 recs

You give him too much credit

by Gamer101 on Mar 20, 2008 1:41 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Betemit

Anyone figure Wilson Betemit can still play short? I mean, you'd get him as a 3b/1b, but use him as a backup at short? Probably no better than Franny/Velez at SS.

by BigO on Mar 20, 2008 1:43 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

dunno, but he's out of options

by BigO on Mar 20, 2008 1:44 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Not a SS

If you want for team OK but not to play SS

by wilriv21 on Mar 20, 2008 1:44 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

so who are you thinking of? Zobrist, like Grant?

by BigO on Mar 20, 2008 1:45 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

don't have an answer but am sure Sabean & Co are scouring other teams. Vizquel is old and will need time off often during season so a decent back-up will be needed for the full season.

Gameday

does anyone get the feeling the guy updating Gameday is preoccupied with someone because we get nothing for awhile and then a burst of detail

by wilriv21 on Mar 20, 2008 1:51 PM PDT   0 recs

leone

leone has played second, and short in the minors. The short is emergency only, there were lots of errors when he tried doing it regularly.

velez steal, winn grounds out, velez to 3rd, rowand hits to figgins and velez caught in run down

by Gamer101 on Mar 20, 2008 2:05 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Lessee...

Velez on first (I was bringing the roast beef back so I know not how he got there)
He stole second. Wynn sac'd him to third. Swag (Rowand) hit a 3b chopper that trapped Velez in a rundown , Aurilia found no warrior spirit by striking out.

Anyone watching

Stanford-Cornell right now? Cardinal in white unis, Cornell in red, Honda Center basketball court has red keys, sidelines and baselines with white lettering. Seriously, it's like Where's Waldo trying to watch this game.

Beats watching the Giants, though.
