I picked Baylor to make it to the Elite Eight. They're down by 20. In case you're not ignoring my pronouncements about sports already, you should do so immediately.

Betemit
Anyone figure Wilson Betemit can still play short? I mean, you'd get him as a 3b/1b, but use him as a backup at short? Probably no better than Franny/Velez at SS.

don't have an answer but am sure Sabean & Co are scouring other teams. Vizquel is old and will need time off often during season so a decent back-up will be needed for the full season.

leone
leone has played second, and short in the minors. The short is emergency only, there were lots of errors when he tried doing it regularly.

Velez on first (I was bringing the roast beef back so I know not how he got there)
He stole second. Wynn sac'd him to third. Swag (Rowand) hit a 3b chopper that trapped Velez in a rundown , Aurilia found no warrior spirit by striking out.
