Kevin Goldstein and Christina Kahrl at Books Inc. Alameda

Hey folks, I recorded this program of BP's Kevin Goldstein and Christina Kahrl doing an in-store event at the Alameda Books, Inc. on March 10.  They don't have much to say about the Giants aside from the obvious (apparently, they will not be good this year), but there's a lot of interesting stuff in there for wonks and fans of Baseball Prospectus. Here's the link. Don't worry, the site's free and you don't have to sign up for an account to view the program.

My apologies for the crappy camera work at the beginning. That's all me. In my defense, I'm usually the guy in the editing room.

Hoping there is a good Q&A. Nice to finally see "Christina" in the flesh, as it were. I anticipate many derogatory comments about the Giants from her, though.

It's mostly Q&A, and it's all pretty good IMO. I'd expected her to be pretty harsh on the Giants too, considering her writing on BP, but they were actually both fairly positive considering the current state of the team.

Does she dog on the Giants much? I'm a BP subscriber but I can't really ever remember her being negative towards the Giants.

She's been pretty rough on the Giants management over the last few years in her Transaction Analysis column. All justified, of course, but she's a little more sharp than what you'd see from most sportswriters.

Gracias

Thanks rocketdog, listening to it right now.

Trip Report!

I laughed when Goldstein said "I can't stand that guy" when talking about Ryan Theriot.

Thanks for sharing!

Democracy is lovely but baseball is more mature. BVCE supports Manny Burriss and SF Dugout.
