Grant
This has nothing to do with anything, but in the links section in the main page you have "my blogfather" and "Hardcore SF Giants" as one link, and for some reason it really bugs me.
Oh And the Autofresh in the gameday thread is just as cool/wierd as I thought it would be.

Tryouts Continuing
Grant isn't through trying out new buttons.
Bochy still has 11 unused center fielders on his spring training bench.
Spiffy Gameday link...

Delaying the disappointment: I adopt Hector Sanchez because he's only 17.

I think howie's a mod over at Niners Nation too. He's consolidating power. But why? For what sinister reason?
I looked up Steve Kline in the dictionary. He wasn't there. If he was, it would have said "pretty okay"
Who has to sleep with howie to complete this consolidation of power?

This is my first real opportunity to post on the site and take in all the features. Personal crises last night kept me from playing with the new stuff here.
Gotta say I'm impressed. The keyboard commands are great, the comments popping up automatically are great, the buttons on the posts and comments are great. Very user friendly.
Still think the blog looks dumb. Yes I will complain about anything possible.

I don't like pages where by design they try to cram all the content into a tiny 400-ish pixel column. Other than that, the page is new. Comments are cool.

I like the fact that I don't have to put a subject for each comment. Less pressure to define myself & my smart ass comments.
Way better than seeing "post failed" because the initial subject line was too large, every time we reply.

You didn't really have to on the old site either. I mean, leaving it as "Re: Title" is sort of a title, but not really, you know?
I looked up Steve Kline in the dictionary. He wasn't there. If he was, it would have said "pretty okay"
Yeah, you don't have to put up a subject
But in compensation, you have to mow Grant's lawn on Saturday
Sanchez
In Jonathan Sanchez first outing he went one inning and allowed three runs. In his second outing he went two innings - in the first inning he gave of two runs and in the second inning he gave up one run. In his third start he went three innings of no earned runs. Now in his fourth start he pitch a another fine inning. He seems to be improving and taking control of an opportunity.

We've been pushing Z for a year now. He doesn't refresh, but rather keeps losing zip off his fastball
Maybe in the 5th generation Refresh will be a TM. Or we could just breed it into Z so he'll hatch with it at Level 1.

Our 5th OF is Davis
Our 6th is Nate.
So that's what happens when you turn your 7th OF into a 1B.

Tyler Walker did that once

Dave Roberts
No one wants to hear it, but he's gonna have a good year. Maybe .300 if Davis faces the lefties.
That's Peanuts
He'll hit .400 if we trade him to someone else
Yes
Roberts is a solid LF and leadoff hitter vs RHPs. He is a constant in clubhouse. I am a big Lewis fan - he reminds me a lot of Devon White. Lewis is in the middle of scoring rallies and should be the 4th OF with plenty of ABs
Well, I disagree, but it is likely to be the way things are. I really don't have a big problem with Roberts, but it's just time (and the right team) that Lewis gets to start.
Roberts vs Lewis vs Roberts
Roberts could start vs RHPs, leadoff and still a ton of bases. Lewis could get plenty of starts in all three OF positions. Davis would be a late inning defensive replacement.
I'll post it again
Roberto Kelly on Eugenio:
Asked how Velez's combination of speed and power measured up against players from his era, Kelly quickly offered the name of future Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson.
"He may even have more home run power than Rickey did," said Kelly, who roamed the same outfield with Henderson as a member of the New York Yankees.

I believe that the two-mic set up that they had for Greenwald and Simmons is a bit beyond their engineering capacity.

From Jayson Stark's blog talking about the league's worst teams:
Giants: "You watch that team, and it's actually depressing," said a scout that has watched way too much of the Giants, apparently. ... "The talk of Arizona," said another scout, "is, how bad will the Giants be?"
But it's hard to find scouts who don't think the Orioles and Giants will lose 100.
Hard to argue.
