I know they changed the team names in the Arizona Fall League to match the venues where these games are played. But come on. Surprise Rafters? OMG WE'RE RAFTING!!!! I AM SO SURPRISED!

I bought a Grand Canyon Rafters jersey on the last day of the AFL at Scottsdale Stadium. It's light blue and has the Rafters patch on the sleeve. Is super cool. At least Grand Canyon Rafters makes sense.

Anyone remember Grant's post from a while back where he posted a lineup from '96 (I think) that was supposedly the most wretched lineup ever?  I'm too lazy to look for it right now.  I can't help but think how many lineups we'll have this year that rival the suckitude of that one.

On a totally unrelated topic, and speaking of Grant, I totally ripped off his idea for my music blog.

Vic,

Kind of an "after the fact" hijack.

No "shiny, shiny" for me. I'm in Reno, much less shiny. But hey, we've got a 3A baseball team coming next year. Brand new stadium, and I'm already on the waiting list for season tickets. The best part is that the D'Backs, Dodgers, and Giants  3A clubs affiliation contracts all expire next year. Talk of a re-alignment with the three teams has been rampant. Speculation is that The Giants come here, the D'backs go to Vegas, and the Dodgers go to Fresno. If that happens, I expect the "Frensno-ites" to burn down Chukchansi Park .

I have the opposite problem with KNBR. I cannot get it in the car without serious static, but get it at home with out too much of a problem. There's also a local that is a broadcasting partner, but it's just not the same.

It comes in very handy for those Saturday games broadcast by FOX. There is no way I can listen to the human douchebag that is Joe Buck, and his pal Tim McCarver , as well as  various other "homers" (Braves,Cubs) not named Kruk and Kuip.

Go Johnny Go!
John Boy Bowker triples. Have a great season in Fresno and prepare yourself for when you get your call this summer.
