Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Oh, it's on!

Is there any money better spent than the $15 to receive streaming mlb games?  I'm sitting in the office on a Wednesday morning, listening to Friel striking out over Gameday Audio.  It's not Opening Day, but this is huge.

Re: Oh, it's on!
Are you talking about the radio? I'm of the opinion that baseball shouldn't be allowed to charge for something that's free. It's the fucking radio. Great, now I'm pissed again.

Re: Oh, it's on!
The NFL charges 2x as much for 1/10 the games.

I'll gladly pay $15 to be able to hear any game I want to at any time (they're not just streaming, they're archived too)

Re: Oh, it's on!
You can listen to any team and choose your announcers though. Plus you get access to past games. It's a pretty good deal. No, I do not work for MLB. *hides envelope full of money under his chair*

Re: Oh, it's on!
A long time ago, on an internet far far away, there was Broadcast.com  where you could listen to the games on-line, for free.

I can still remember their hideous yellow banners.

It can be fatiguing
There's nothing hideous about free broadcasting.

Re: Oh, it's on!
I paid $15 a month a few years back for the streaming video on my computer for all the games.  It was a nice concept until there's motion and everything became a pixelated blur.  But to mlb.com's credit, they were quick to cancel my subscription and reissued me a month of credit because they didn't cancel my account quick enough.

So why can't Bud Selig's office act like that?!

it's always noonan somewhere

Re: Oh, it's on!
Paying for radio feeds on the computer would be great if my work computer allowed me to do this.
Democracy is lovely but baseball is more mature. BVCE supports Manny Burriss and SF Dugout.
