Baseball Prospectus - Bay Area Pizza Feeds

http://www.baseballprospectus.com/unfiltered/ - see Gary's post
http://www.baseballprospectus.com/events/

Anyone else going? I went a few years ago, and generally had a good time, and its a pretty decent cause.

Details on the events page - March 18 and March 27 - I'll be attending the March 18 in Menlo Park, which means Round Table.... spectacular.

Re: Baseball Prospectus - Bay Area Pizza Feeds
I used to think that a crab feed was an event where a bunch of people went to the beach and fed crabs. No joke. I was actually under this impression for the most naive of my youthful years.

I can only imagine how confused I would have been if somebody had tried to get me to go to a pizza feed.

He is Vengeance. He is the Knight. He is Dave Righetti. PRAY TO HIM!

Re: Baseball Prospectus - Bay Area Pizza Feeds
I thought this was going to be an RSS feed for pizza joints that showed baseball.

I saw Baseball Prospectus and thought this was about Mike Piazza.

NOOoOOOOOOooooOOOO
There are not enough characters to say what happened here. I'm lucky to be here and looking forward to Giants baseball ... that's all I can say.

And damn if that book signing in Alameda wasn't on a weeknight I'd go. I'd love to meet Christina Kahrl.

Re: Baseball Prospectus - Bay Area Pizza Feeds
If I'm not up in the Seattle area the week of March 27th, I will definitely try to make it to the Walnut Creek meeting.  I imagine that would be the best group of baseball people I will ever get the chance to rub elbows with.

People, if I wanted bad puns, I would have titled this "Ping: Goofus"

Anyone else going to the Menlo Park one?

Jonathan Sanchez. He's left-handed, like Barry Zito. His fastball breaks 80, unlike Zito.

I've been thinking about it. What happens at one of these things?  I'm guessing pizza is eaten, then Q&A with BP guy?

Pretty much - baseball talk basically, and I need to delude myself.
