Still could use a clean-up hitter
RF Winn
SS Renteria
3b Sandoval
C Molina
LF Lewis
CF Rowand
1b Ishikawa
2b Frandsen/Burriss/Velez

Like the idea of Winn leading off and moving Lewis down in the order. Nice army line-up with the left right left.
I know 3 way trades are uncommon in baseball
but if Molina could be traded for prospects that could be shipped to SEA for Beltre…
RF Winn
SS Renteria
C Sandoval
3B Beltre
LF Lewis
CF Rowand
1b Ishikawa
2b Frandsen/Burriss/Velez
P
that is a lineup that could put up acceptable offense. Even if the deal had to be sweetened a little for SEA with one of the lesser minor leaguers I would be happy with that.
3 catchers? (according to the article)
no thanks
Less arm, more talk. Raisingcain is a GAMER.
Adopted Giant: Henry Sosa
It is ok. Sandoval would be the third catcher used in exceptions. Giants do not plan to have Sandoval as a starting or back-up catcher rather full-time at 3b.
SHOULD be, unfortunately I think he was playing 1st and DHing most of the times I checked the boxscores this Winter.
The bases were drunk, and I painted the black with my best yakker. But blue squeezed me, and I went full. I came back with my heater, but the stick flares one the other way and the chalk flies for two bases. Three earnies! Next thing I know, skipper hooks me and I'm sipping suds with the clubby.
I am ok with the 2 1/2 catcher roster. I believe Sandoval will be a “infielder that can play catcher”. Its a better 3rd option than when Pedro Happy was. Also the less Sandoval plays C, the less chance of injury. I do not remember who the 3rd catcher was last year.

Rosterbation.... how it feels so good
I think the most obvious way to do it is like this….
1) Winn
2) Renteria
3) Lewis
4) Molina
5) Sandoval
6) Rowand /1b
7) Ishikawa/ Phelps or Rowand
8) 2nd
This is the most logical for many reasons:
1 Lewis could be used to help prevent the Molina double play with his speed,
2 he would not have Molina blocking his doubles and triples,
3 as well as SB,
4 Lewis has shown greater ability to get on base than sandoval and as such should be higher in the order
5 I trust Sandoval to sting the ball and be more likely to get Molina in on a long double than Lewis (i don’t know i just do)
6 It keeps the “vets” happy and has the kid batting lower (just how i am sure management would see it.
and mor eif you see them
