Thought I would share this, ISO vs OBP chart I put together earlier this morning. I think Burriss doubters have some merit, he's hitting for as much power as the 42-year-old Omar Vizquel.
Also, Fred Lewis is pretty decent.

Bring him back!
Also, for those wondering, the vertical and horizontal lines represent league average performance.

so, we had exactly one hitter above the league average on both counts. I guess that is how you go about scoring 640 runs.

HIT….you have suck my battleship!
The bases were drunk, and I painted the black with my best yakker. But blue squeezed me, and I went full. I came back with my heater, but the stick flares one the other way and the chalk flies for two bases. Three earnies! Next thing I know, skipper hooks me and I'm sipping suds with the clubby.

ISO Power?
While this post is quiet, anyone want to take a moment to explain (or link to) ISO power to me (and others) who may not be familiar?
Thanks.
They say some players get out of bed hitting; Pablo Sandoval doesn't wait that long
ISO attempts to measure a hitters “true” power.
ISO = BA – SLG
I’ll just paste what I wrote from my site:
Because batting average considers every hit to be a ’single’, ISO removes BA from SLG (ISO = BA – SLG) to give you an idea of how much "true" power a player hit for
An ISO of over .200 is pretty good. Among hitters with 300 PA’s, Pujols led the majors in ISO last year with a score of .296. Barry Bonds has a career ISO of .309. He was pretty good.

I have no idea who this Barry Bonds character is, but he must have been decent. This has to be a sample size number.

not to nitpick
But ISO = SLG – BA, unless you enjoy negative numbers.
Who doesn't?
..so allow me to present Tim Lincecum and Matt Cain as two sweet, sweet bottles of warming hooch.
you should do a virus check up on yourself

Velez not looking so good.
Considering there are three guys in the below-average/below-average quadrant, and neither of the other two are coming back…
Scott McClain: Great story, no place on the 2009 Giants.
YEAH FREDDIE
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
