Question Re: Johnson signing.

I've been wondering who the Giants will take off their 40 man roster to facilitate the Big Unit signing. When do they have to make this announcement by? Anyone heard anything?

One idea that poped into my head was that maybe the Giants Web Site screwed up and Ochoa was only signed to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training like Phelps and Miller. It seemed real strange to me that the Giants would first remove Ochoa from the 40 Man only to add him back 4 weeks later.

you might have it, GRM. I don’t remember any note that Ochoa was re-added.

BTW, MCC’s Giants roster includes Justin Miller and Josh Phelps. It shouldn’t.

Can they do that before Spring Training? Seems weird that everyone makes a big deal about getting the 40 man roster set before the Rule V draft, only to see the Giants go almost a week with 41 men on the roster.

If God had intended us not to rosterbate, he would've made our arms shorter.
