We joke alot about using Fanshots when appropriate, but due to this site’s horrible usability vis-a-vis Fanshots, I understand why people avoid them. But one of the worst things you can do to a fanshot that you respect is rec’ing it.

When Fanshots get enough recs (four I believe) they get elevated to obscurity. They can only be accessed from the top page. My guess is that people go to the top page to read the posts and comments there rather than as a navigational device.

Why you cannot access rec’ed Fanshots from the Fanshots page is beyond me
(the one whose link is below the banner add and right of the McC logo).

actually, I think it gets put up there in the Recommended FanShots section, which is right above the Recent FanShots section.

Not that anyone prolly gives a flying fuck in a rolling rainstorm , but posting shit like that – isn’t that sort of disrespecting Dusty Rhodes?

I mean – I get the thread/post hijack thing as a way of dissing idiot posts, and I’ve contributed myself – but considering the man and his place in Giant history , and where/what he is now – I dunno , to me it sorta seems out of place and a little wrong.

Call me sentimental. Sure doesn’t seem to be much of that around anymore.

It’s one of my core beliefs that there are very few things in this world that are so serious that they can’t be made fun of. There are exceptions, of course, but baseball history (which I love) isn’t one of them.

Actually, what I like best about MCC is the mix of the ridiculous and the sublime. This is a site full of people who are very smart, informed, and passionate, and also very silly and inane. I, for one, really appreciate both sides of the equation.
