- The Padres reached terms on minor-league deals with right-handed reliever Chris Britton, who had been non-tendered by the Yankees and has a career 3.83 ERA; and former Giants catcher Eliezer Alfonzo, who batted .266 with 12 homers for San Francisco in 2006.
