I thought about editing it…but: one doesn’t edit the Sistine Chapel!

Charlie Hayes ate my homework

GAH

We need an image dump location for everything.

Yes one edits the Sistine Chapel!

Good thing, too

That proposed Fremont stadium was ugly. Or maybe “generic” is the word I’m looking for. One of the two

by Useful_Idiot on Dec 17, 2008 10:41 PM PST up reply actions

It’s way generic. I like the idea of a smaller park, but it needs to have more personality than the proposed one. I really liked the design for the new Rays’ park, but alas I believe it was shot down.

If they take the San Jose Giants away from me, I’ll jihad.

I’d just like to say hello to the Homeland Security agent now reading MCC.

. . .

The Denker bus is now bound for San Diego. Those who were passengers on it are now angrily stranded at a gas station in Modesto, CA. Not much about baseball here .

Ladies and Gentleman, your 2011 Portland A’s!

"Unruly Crowd Behavior"

Well that’s sounds like a bunch of BS. I often go to A’s games and it’s never that bad. The fans attitude I’ve noticed is actually pretty nice, with a good amount of enthusiasm and cheer without being rabid, at least until they face the Giants.

Seriously, they just need a good stadium. Screw Al Davis and him turning the Coliseum into an monstrosity.

Barry Zito - Mildly half-OK! Sometimes.

by Revolution1 on Dec 18, 2008 12:05 AM PST reply actions

exactly, that was my first thought. I’ve never seen any kind of crowd behavior at an A’s game, let alone unruly crowd behavior

by FluLikeSymptoms on Dec 18, 2008 10:06 AM PST up reply actions

that drum is frikkin annoying though.

I remember last year a little kid was sitting right next to the drum guy and they cut to him, with his ears covered and on the verge of tears…couldn’t tell if it was from watching the A’s or the percussion.

If God had intended us not to rosterbate, he would've made our arms shorter.

And Yes...

Fremont IS that much better than Oakland

by dogdays on Dec 18, 2008 9:27 AM PST reply actions

I’ve hoped for a long time that the A’s would move to Sacramento. Sacramento’s population is comparable to many MLB cities and I think the interest there would exceed the interest in the Bay Area. I also think the Giants would benefit from being the only Bay Area team. The Bay Area has never really supported both the Giants and A’s at the same time.

Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??

by tobias on Dec 18, 2008 11:59 AM PST reply actions

No no no…. then all I’d be left watching is A’s baseball. The Warrior games are always blacked out here cuz if we want basketball [which I don’t, but I’m just sayin’ is all…] we have to watch the Kings. I fear that if the A’s move here the Giants will be blacked out.
