Dig arround. There is more.
Yes he was “entertaining” like that quite often.

The M’s are the "local" team my sports network shows. You know your Jonesing when you actually plan to watch a non Tim or Cain game then back it up for a non King Felix game last year. And yes I did.

If I understand Sabes correctly, he seems to feel that Burrell would let in as many runs as he would produce.
pretty sure they said something similar right before they signed Moises.

LOL Phillies!
Let Burrell go, then sign an older guy with the same glove and a worse bat.

It's not a bad deal
but, yeah, they should have kept Pat instead.

Ibanez has been pretty darn good...
probably about as good as Pat the bat, and even with the new contract, Ibanez will be cheaper.

Ibanez can hit, but I refer you to the upper part of this thread. He does not hit enough to make up for his terrible defense, Burrell does. Also, he’s 37. I really don’t like this signing for practically any price.

Ibanez is also a lefty, and they already have too many of those. Burrell was their big righty bat in the lineup. Who is going to be that now, Pedro Feliz??

This lays to rest the idea of getting Burrell on a cheapish contract, right?

If Ibanez got that much money....
Pat Burrell is most definitely not going to be a Phillie Giant next season.
Don't think, it could only hurt the ballclub.
