Today Nick Peters received the J.G. Taylor Spink Award and was elected to the Hall of Fame. He was the Giants beat writer for the Sacramento Bee for many years until he retired in 2007, and was truly one of the best. Having grown up reading a Bee newspaper (for the kids out there, before there was the Internet we actually got our news from these printed relics) he was always my main source of Giants information.
