I feel like Rich Aurilia is about to headbutt the ball back to the pitcher
The bases were drunk, and I painted the black with my best yakker. But blue squeezed me, and I went full. I came back with my heater, but the stick flares one the other way and the chalk flies for two bases. Three earnies! Next thing I know, skipper hooks me and I'm sipping suds with the clubby.

Headbunt!

for Richie’s sake, I would rather just see him sign with the Cubs

Yay Richie
I’d be happy to see him back as a utility guy and pinch hitter.

I really don’t trust Bochy to not play Aurillia

There is that.
I had momentarily forgotten about Bochy’s incurable case of veteranophilia.

Rotoworld agrees with you
To think that we were concerned about the Giants’ offense. Aurilia did hit lefties well last season, but he ended up with way too many at-bats, 407 to be exact. Viewed strictly as a backup, he’d be fine. However, it seems best not to give Bruce Bochy the opportunity to overuse him again.

As I said on the last fanshot about this, I love Aurilia dearly, but I think it’s time to move on. Best to leave his Giants career on a relative high note.

Yeah, agree. I’d rather play Josh Phelps against lefties and use Frandsen (or the loser of the 2B Battle) in a utility role.

We could use a new first base coach…Richie would look pretty snazzy in a flapless batting helmet don’t you think?
