It's a good question
My guess is 9, because injury problems will linger and the Giants might have a more effective 5th option (I can see Sabean signing a veteran FA…too bad Maddux will retire)
I want what the 20+ people are smoking.
kthnx.

Bay City Ball
yeah
pretty much this
Trent Kline: Decentish. Also, my website is called ChatterBalks Dot Com. It's not being updated right now. Hope for more at your own risk.
As a 20+ voter, I’m thinking he either has comes back or he doesn’t, torn between 0 and 20+ I figured I’d go optimistic today, since I went pessimistic in the Predict the Elections results electoral college vote.
Castillo got the DFA. Guestimate for Castillo DFA to come before the 2009 season = 2.
My 1-10 vote probably wouldn’t change.
My Dave Righetti is better than your Dave Righetti.

I think he returns this year
as a shell of his former self. I see at least one trip to the DL, and after 10 or 11 starts of ineffectiveness, a trip to the bullpen or a late-season shelving on the DL
STEVE HOLM! refuses to be the odd man out.
Do you mean “start for the San Francisco Giants”? Because I can definitely see some Fresno action for Noah. The big club? Not so much…

My question was not restricted to the Giants. Good catch. Total starts, in any capacity.

gamerism
Noah is a gamer and his good looks bring girls to the park, this keeps him out there 15 or so no matter how bad he does.

Oh hell, this again. Way to harsh my Obama buzz, Grant!
20+ person here: I’m smoking hope, like yesterday. Okay, a bit of a stretch that Lowry starts = Obama presidency, but you gotta have dreams of all sizes …
Still-proud, adoptive mama of Notgardo Alfonzo, who's back from the 50-game purgatory. He promises never to do it again. I couldn't get him to promise to hit, though. We're working on that with bribes of M&Ms, kind of like potty training.
Very Nice TK !! Way to put that Spirit Award to work :-)
My adopted son Matt Downs. Lost in the wilderness of mediocrity.
Gets a few Spring Training starts. Then his arm falls off mid-pitch. The arm will be about 6 inches off the plate for ball four and a run is walked in.
I'm sorry to say...
this made me LOL because I can totally see this happening….visually…in my head….and NO, I’m NOT crazy.
Uncle Sabes...How much longer til we get there?
This was my thinking.

I go with 14. Just because it is a nice round number.
I would rather have him come out of the bullpen has a long reliever. We need to start bringing up some of our young pitching talent.
"It hurts sooooooo... good!"
I'll predict...
11 to 15 mildly sucessful starts and a trade….for a CF :-) or is it a 2B this year ?

Talk about lazy journalism
I voted 0. No hope here. Dude doesn’t pitch again, but won’t announce his retirement until the next year cuz of the benjamins.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I voted zero. Sorry :(
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
PABLO SANDOVAL AM STEAL DEATH, DESTROYER OF WORLDS.
Me too.
I’d love to see him come back, but I looked it up in my gut, and it says he won’t.
Scott McClain: Great story, no place on the 2009 Giants.
I'll predict...
24 starts
7-11
4.61 ERA
79 K’s
84 BB’s
3 women impregnated
1 DL Stint
You probably know it as MYANMAR, but it will always be BURMA to me!
I've noticed a lot of hate for Noah Lowry over the last few years
is it because of his walk total, or overall lack of control? I’ve always liked lowry, but then again i always liked jerome williams too

Stands in line 3 hours, then...
Actually, I can’t do it. Tug between head and heart is too painful.
I vote 11.
Including Spring Training, Fresno, SJ, AZL & majors.
