Well darn, these stats aren't quite as exciting as those from the hitters I posted earlier...then again, notably absent is our three-headed monster of MadBum, Alderson, and Nicholson. Still, there are encouraging indicators here (and yeah, yeah, I know...small sample size, weaker competition, yada*3...but hey, it's the offseason...let's enjoy what's available to us). Check out Romo's numbers...an 18:1 K:BB ratio? That's silly...he continues to impress. I also like what Pucetas has done.
chew, tea, discuss...
Post script: looks like Edlefsen might be better suited for the NHL. How do you hit SIX batters in 12 innings? Wait, wait, don't tell me...I can do that math. Oh yeah, one batter, every other inning. Got it.

If I might suggest some context
you cannot really gauge the stats (either these or the hitters’) without the league averages…

The Puerto Rican league is still going on.

As you said, EME is doing quite well. Giants Junkie did a good service by giving us a wrapup but he’ll need to include those playing on the Island once the season is over.
I did see Dirty’s name listed on the Gigantes de Carolina roster in the PR league, though not Mayaguez like I expected. Since he was born in Mayaguez I sorta thought he’d get dibs on the Indios. Ah well. At least he remains a Giant. Adam Cowart is listed on the Arecibo roster.

When checking to see if Sanchez was playing winter ball the first roster I viewed was also the Indios. Fortunately then checked Carolina and was pleasantly surprised to see both EME and Sanchez. He is on the expanded roster where many MLers are assigned. These MLers normally arrive later in the season as they prep for the upcoming spring training.

Thanks for the tip. We have beisbol until late December in the Carribean. The PR League postseason begins January 7. Of course there’s the Carribean Series as well, which should start in February IIRC. Then in March it’s the WBC and before you know it, this awful dark period of no baseball wil be over and life can begin once again.

he is having difficulty throwing strikes. Often going 3-2 on hitters and giving up BBs

Yeah, he's got the stuff
If only he could figure out how to get it over the plate more often than not.
Still, 30Ks to 8BB is a rate I’d take from him for now.
The BAA and ERA has to be based on luck. If your striking that many guys out, you’re fundamentally doing things right.
