A solution to the Peavy situation...
The Padres can't seem to find an attractive suitor for Peavy. Why not return to them some local favorites, with a little youthful icing? Zito and Roberts as the cornerstone of a Peavy trade seems to fit the bill, but alas some young talent would need to be sent their way. Perhaps Ishikawa, Velez, or the like. The primary concern of the Padres seems to be fielding a team with little to no payroll, so one would guess we'd still need to pay for Zito' and Roberts' contracts, but Peavy would at least come cheaper for first year. I think the Padres are setting up a sale, and at least they can still sell the team with a Cy Young present.

I’m realy sorry I opened this thread to read.
Why isn't Sabean held accountable for leading the Giants into many years of mediocrity???
Peavy deal
If it sweetens the deal, I’ll toss in the onion I’m wearing on my belt, as it’s no longer in fashion at this time.

Fantastic.
My current Interwebs obsession is pretty awesome. Also, my website is called ChatterBalks Dot Com. It's not being updated right now. Hope for more at your own risk.
I'm Sorry
That you think this makes sense.

A Zito/ Roberts/ Velez/ Aurilia/ Joe Angel/ Armando Benitez/ Lou Seal package should be enough to land Peavy, don’t you think?
That's even stupider
Lou Seal has a full no trade clause. No way in hell he waives it to go to SD.
Yes we did!
Hijack!

the one with the H is in Pennsylvania. Despite the shitty weather and the fact that it it not in CA, I would still have to say that one is better.
One thing in favor of Pittsburg is that in Pittsburgh you can not buy beer at a gas station/convenience store/grocery store, you have to go to a beer distributorship which is a huge pain in the ass. It makes you appreciate the ease of beer purchase that we take for granted in California.
But one huge thing in Pittsburgh’s favor is Primanti Brothers. Quite possibly the best sandwich man has ever invented.

I live in Pittsburg. It sucks.

If you seriously wanted Peavy
The Padres would probably love to deal with the Giants given pitching is their deficiency in the minors
The Price as my guess:
Sanchez, Alderson, Henry Sosa as the CORE
One more undervalued prospect: Wendell Fairley
Nice throw in or two: Joey Martinez
that’s what I see, realistically
Yes.. it was non-serious
Simply commenting on one avenue to remove the dead weight of Zito/Roberts. The San Diego connection was just too hard to ignore. Padres are so desperate, they sound like they might do a Sabes-type deal. Should of checking in earlier to answer that.
As to the name, yes, its Pittsburgh — the real burgh :)
